Nice, small hotel right on the beachPosted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, and room.
Cons: The facilities, while in good condition and very comfortable, seemed a little dated.
Location: This is the place to go if you're looking for a quiet, relaxed beach getaway. It's away from the crowds and bars.
We live in Tampa and wanted to spend an extended weekend at the beach. I was looking for a smaller hotel that had beach access. Some of the larger, more expensive hotels just seem too crowded and too rushed. The Dolphin Resort was the perfect place. The room was comfortable and clean, with an in-room fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The hotel surrounds a very nice pool area with a convenient (but not too loud) tiki bar. The pool area looks right out on the beach. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Will definitely be back.

Husband and I (just retired) loved our one week stay . The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were old but clean and comfortable. Lovely pool. Great location-just across from small mall with a Publix and a CVS.

Great location .. a beautiful sunset every nightPosted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: The location right on the beach, restaurant, pool .. etc. Coffee maker, micro, fridge, etc.
Cons: The decor was jarring to me.. red/orange wall behind the bed and bright blue carpet. and weekend parking was very full. almost not enough spaces.
Location: Location couldn't be better, as I saw the same beach and sunsets as the Don Cesar. some restaurants close A shopping center Publix across the street.
While taking an art workshop just a mile away, I enjoyed a 4 night stay. Not all of the luxeries you find in some hotels but the price was right and location was excellent. Staff was friendly, helpful.

Older hotel, but great beachfront locationPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Killer views of the white sand beach and Gulf of Mexico.
Cons: Exterior of the hotel is extremely dated
Location: Ate at 1200 Chophouse; an small upscale steakhouse about block or so north of the hotel. Very expensive (for us) and the NY Sirloin was kind of dry.
This hotel looks like it was built in the 70's. I like newer hotels, so I wasn't crazy about how it looked when we pulled in. The room was nicely updated though and was ok. The staff was very nice. Linda at the front desk was extremely professional and polite. I recommend paying the extra money for a Gulf front room. Wow, the view!

Our room was booked incorrectly and they did everything they could to finally upgrade us to a balcony view room. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Overall it was a very pleasant experience

Nothing spectacularPosted Sep 30, 2014
The hotel itself is old and out dated. The room was fine, the sink and bathroom floor were not cleaned. But other than that it was just fine. Nothing special.
