Dolphin Beach Resort

It's an older structure but appears to be in the best condition it can be given it is on the beach (lots of sand and sun). The rooms are dingy but clean and large, housekeeping does a great job and there were plenty of supplies. Who comes to a hotel on the beach to stay in the room anyway?!?! The Tiki Bar downstairs had good music and decent food, and the location is great.

Gorgeous pool and beach access. Bar right on the beach, which was fun. Front desk service was inviting and accommodating. REstaurant service for breakfast one morning was very disappointing (went somewhere else), but another morning, service was delightful. Bar staff were friendly and fun. Fantastic location to nearby hotels and bars. All walking distance, and across from Publix supermarket, which was great to buy some snacks/water to keep in the fridge.

Only stayed one night..but it was nice. Room was comfortable, meal at the restaurant was good, service was great, friendly staff.

Great location. Refrigerator in room did not work on arrive. Staff provided s new one which seemed to work but stopped working over night and lost all the food we purchased. Hotel gave us 20 dollars back and a 3rd refrigerator which really didn't work either. There is a dollar tree Cvs and publix across the street which was handy.

I had a excellent time! I had great room service and alot of hotels dont realize how important getting late check out is! But they gave me no problems what so ever! I will be back!!

The staff is great. Extremely helpful. Rooms could use some updates. 70's floral Florida look with a television about 30 years old. Access to the pool and beach is one of the best features of this hotel. A very short walk from any room. The location of the hotel is great. We didn't drive once during our stay. Great places to walk too and when your done eating, shopping and drinking walk back to the room along a late night walk on the beach back to the hotel. The walls seem to be paper thin we could hear a lot of what was going on in other rooms. Not a big deal for us. For those who don't know about St Pete Beach. Hands down the best beach in Florida. We would book there again.

Great hotel and en-suite. Right on the beach with fabulous beach bar & restaurant. Nice pool which was a good temperature.

Location is almost everything when it comes to beach vacations, and the Dolphin is pretty much in a perfect spot. The staff was very nice and relatable, except for one desk guy that didn't like my group for whatever reason. The pool area is great, and the tiki bar is a nice thing to have onsite. However, the beds are rock hard and this was the first time in my life I was charged for a roll away. Also, the room A/C never really got cold, and the A/C pipes apparently traveled above the hallways drop ceiling, because you would get dripped on every 20 feet or so, which led to wet carpet and a musty smell. If I am going to be dropping the money I dropped on this mini-vacation, I wouldn't mind spending a little bit more next time around if it meant I got a place that was more comfortable and up-kept. The place has awesome potential, its just sad that the owner seems to cheap (a couple desk employees actually said that about the owner, ha) to actually utilize it. I would only recommend this because of the location.
