Pro: Cheap and not too far from the beach; a lot of activities/restaurants in surrounding area. Con: The rooms were outdated and one night some other guests were openly cursing and arguing with one another. It served its purpose as a place to sleep for a cheap price, but next time I will definitely pay a little extra money for something a bit more modern and safer feeling. The expression "you get what you pay for" is very fitting in this case.

Never again!Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: It was convenient to the airport and area of Clearwater that I needed to be in.
Cons: Customer service, room without holes in ceiling, and safety for patrons.
Location: No clue.
Horrible experience. Arrived late at night to a crazy lady approaching my car yelling at me saying she knew why I was there and she was calling the police. I informed the manager of this incident and he wasn't concerned. There was also the language barrier issue, where every time I went to the office I had to wait for someone who spoke English, and even then the English was poorly spoken. The bathroom also had a large hole in the ceiling, but that was the only room left on the first floor and because of medical issues I had to be on the first floor. Had I not already booked my room I would have left and never looked back.

Gulf Way Inn.Posted Apr 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
The inn was near where I wanted to be. I got a room with double beds, a full sized frigerator, an electric stove, a microwave, and some cabinets that held a few pans and pots. They even had a plate a bowel and silverware. There is a sink so you can wash the dishes. I was comfortable there. I would stay there again. Good value.

Reasonably quiet and comfortablePosted Apr 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
I chose Gulf Way Inn because of close proximity to my friends' homes...this is an older motel, and it shows, but the management and staff are friendly and attentive to your requests, etc. I would stay again.

Cost effective option for those who wish to save.Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Central location and price.
Cons: Carpets need to be replaced.
Location: Excellent location to go in any direction in Clearwater; Clearwater Beach to the west straight down Gulf to Bay; excellent restaurants 1/2 mi. east.
Great central location in Clearwater; older motel but good value; room as big as get in finer motel chains; room recently painted and kept reasonably clean except noticed black stains on white socks from walking on carpet; tile floors were clean; all bathroom and vanity fixtures worked fine and kept reasonably clean; clean linens daily; wall air conditioner kept room cool; small refrigerator and freezer worked fine; TV old but worked o.k.; clock/radio had seen its better days and barely worked; beds were old but comfortable with clean sheets; slept very well; only noises were an occasional slammed door or extremely loud motorcycle going by; much quieter than expected being on the main Gulf to Bay Road; didn't afford ourselves of the continental breakfast which apparently isn't much. Didn't use the pool but many others did. Overall a good cost/benefit for those who just need a place to shower and sleep.

You get what you pay for.Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: The pool was Great, plenty of pool furniture and a nice Jacuzzi. WiFi was a huge plus.
Cons: Outside garbage cans needed to be emptied more often.
Location: Plenty of shopping and places to grab a bite within walking distance, Traffic on the Blvd. can be a problem at certain times.
We had a smoking room and it was comfortable with pleasant maid service. Nice fridge and stove. May want to bring your favorite pillow and ash tray.
