The Hotel is located on BeachPosted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Location on the Gulf small beach but nice view.
Cons: Any Beach hotels do have wear because of the sand.
Location: Right next to the only beach nightclub, across the street a very nice mini golf
This is a hotel older and could use some updates- I booked because of price and location. I stayed one night the staff was really nice. Everything was close and walking distance their is a gas station right across the street and a trolley service that takes you anywhere.

Holes in carpet. Musty smell throughout. Loud.Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Location at the beach.
Cons: New carpet, beds. Need vending machine for snacks.
Location: Great location for beach. Near tiki bars. Close to ihop.
Carpet had holes in room. It was very tough to sleep at night. Band playing until 2 am. Entire hotel smelled of dampness. Hotel seems run down. Needs updating.

Hotel was in the perfect locationPosted Apr 5, 2015
We stayed there 5 days and the sheets were never changed nor was the room ever swept. Got kind of gross after a few days. Other than that everything was great.

What A DumpPosted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Close to the beach
Cons: Total renovation required
Location: Family friendly with lots to do on the beach in the day, with many events in the evening.Clearwater Beach
Came down for a relaxing and quiet vacation, only to discover that the hotel booked thru expedia, was dated, depressing, didn't offer breakfast as advertised (only watered down coffee),and there was CONSTRUCTION outside our balcony.Another couple tried to get their room changed to the opposite side and were told a flat at No.It appears that this hotel has not invested a dime on their facilities in 20 years as the rooms were old and tired looking, right down to their bed spreads and furniture. This is a total cash grab facility that could not car less if you came back.

Gulfview HotelPosted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: The hotel was close to the public beach and Pier 60.
Cons: Desperately needs to be remodeled.
Hotel desperately needs updating. Pool was cloudy for the entire 8 days we were there. Did not use. Hot tub was always full of little kids. The rooms smelled musty. The staff was pleasant and tried to fix the pool but nothing helped. There is virtually "no beach" in front of hotel. If 30 people were on the patch of sand, the beach was full. This is by no means the hotels fault, but right next door is a beautiful resort with a beautiful outdoor pool, bar, and nightclub. There are bands that play nightly, sometimes until 2am. They are loud and makes it hard to sleep.

There is no beach nearbyPosted Mar 27, 2015
Cons: Update the furnishing and decor
Location: I went into town did not find anything to do near the hotel
Management was great, the hotel room was dated. There is not much to do in the area, you need to get a taxi to go downtown.

Proximity to the beach is amazingPosted Mar 21, 2015
Need to have beach view or partial beach view . If not your watching and listening to construction workers build the hotel next door .it's loud and obnoxious .

On the (rather small) beachPosted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: Location (beach front) / price (cheap for beach front) / hotels next door had entertainment/bars you could walk to from this hotel's beach
Cons: Beds were OLD and bouncy / room dated and smelled of previously cooked food (no ventilation for efficiency unit) / halls dark and musty
Location: Walking distance to restaurants/ I-HOP next door / Across the street from a great miniature golf place (but soon to be torn down for a high rise)
We did not realize it was spring break AND the start of spring training, so rooms in Clearwater were scarce, especially ones with beach frontage. We tried to stay at at near by chain hotel, but it was booked and was referred to a newer local hotel, not on the beach, which we stayed at for one night for nearly twice the cost of this one. This was the only beach front hotel we could find on short notice, and got the last room. We had a "partial water view" which will be that way until the highrise next door is completed next year. By then, the construction noise which started at 7:30am will be done...However, once in the room, the a/c was so loud you didn't really hear much of the outside noises, but was a tad loud when trying to enjoy the balcony. We met a family staying on the other side of the hotel (also with a partial view room), who asked if we heard the music from the hotel next door until 2:00am, and was going to ask to change to our side, until they realized they were yelling over construction noise. This place will likely be torn down within the next few years, as that seems to be the trend. Having an efficiency was convenient, but the room smelled of toast from years gone by (could be worse). Two beds were necessary, because the beds were old and bouncy, and if you turned over too quickly, you would bounce your partner to the floor...BUT-you could not beat the location and the price, so if a true beach experience is all you're looking for-this would fit the bill!!

Pros: Location on the beach
Location: Great location and lively setting
Room was formerly one that allowed smoking. Stench of stale smoke permeated the room. Created a feeling that room was dirty.
