Great location! The staff was outstanding! The noise from other surrounding hotels made it a little difficult to get the kids to sleep, but overall the hotel is a keeper!

Lovely beach front.

Second stay at the Guy Harvey. Errors with their check-in system kept authorizing my card. It took to long to find someone to correct this. The manager had no suggestions. I finally decided to pay my bill upfront and go to a cash payment only for purchases at the hotel. The bathroom toilet wasn't clean and stayed dirty for the length of our stay. I hope this is just a one time issue. Because my first stay was amazing.

Anniversary trip

Pros: The smallness of the resort unlike sister resort Trade Winds.
Cons: Housekeeping before 5pm
Location: The location is near restaurants, bars and shops. All walking distance.
Had a great time at the Guy Harvey! I like that it's not an overly big resort. Small tiki bar that shuts down at a decent hour. Beautiful beach that you can walk on for miles. Carmen at the front desk is so helpful in checking in as always.

Cant wait to go again in the fall. The rooms are very nice, clean, and up to date. The grounds are great, very nice and kept. No pest problems at all! The staff was amazing!

Overall nice experience. Enjoyed having an adults only pool, hammocks, and the fire pit areas. The room was very small though and they price gouge everything!

Small Room, But Great Locale

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: We loved being near the beach, using the waterslides over at the TradeWinds, clean room, balcony was a nice add, and food was decent.
We spent 2 nights at the Guy Harvey Outpost. The location is great, right on the beach. The room was very clean and cozy... cozy being code for tight fitting for the four of us (two adults; two kids). The water pressure in the shower was on the light side, but not a big deal. The kids were somewhat disappointed they could not go in the hot tub (adults only), although the staff advised we could go over to TradeWinds to use the hot tub there. The cabanas are nice, and you can reserve one online after 2pm (until 2am) for free - or $15 extra for front row. All of us (kids and adults alike) loved the beach waterslides over at the TradeWinds, which we were allowed to use as part of our hotel accommodation fee $35 per day, as I recall. Food at the onsite restaurants was decent to very good, particularly the Rumfish Grill, which boasts a huge aquarium that takes up an entire wall! On the whole, we ended up spending most of our time over at the TradeWinds, making us think maybe in the future we should actually stay there instead. It wasn't too far to walk between hotels, but far enough if you want to take the kids over for dive in movies at night (only at TradeWinds). Overall, a nice hotel with decent facilities and beautiful beach.

Great hotel suite!

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Only glitch was Saturday night trying to find a parking spot when we returned after dinner. Couldn't find one so had to park at Tradewinds.
Location: Beautiful beach and warm, clean Gulf waters. Lots of great restaurants and stores on Gulf Blvd. An easy 1 hour 15 minute drive to DisneyWorld!
Comfortable clean hotel suite with kitchenette. Friendly, courteous, helpful staff. Beautiful pools. Right on the beach and warm, clean Gulf waterfront. Campfire with s'mores every night! Near a lot of great, reasonably priced restaurants and stores in walking distance. Had free access to amenities offered at Tradewinds Island Grand and Sandpiper. A GREAT vacation experience. Would highly recommend and will probably return!!!

Wonderful experience!

Pros: The location was great. Right on the beach and within walking distance of many restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Very minor, but I like to stay on the beach after 6 pm. The cushions for the chairs are removed at 6 pm.
Location: We were only there for s short stay and were only interested in going to the beach so we did not explore the area. The hotel is right on the beach.
This was our first time in St. Pete's Beach. Guy Harvey Outpost was a wonderful experience. The rooms and grounds were well-maintained and immaculate. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Way overpriced for what you receive. I am a local.

Pros: Hot Tub, plenty of towels, atmosphere, food.
Cons: Staff and customer service in Outpost and Gift Shop
Location: It is on the stunning Gulf of Mexico, nothing else to say. Beautiful area.
A family member was in town to visit me, I am a local. We both got the flu and missed over 10 days of her vacation. We started to feel better at the end and decided to rent a room at the Guy Harvey Resort for some fun in the sun and salvage an already ruined visit. We did not feel the view was important as we planned to be on the beach so we still had to pay almost $400 for a room that looked out at the parking garage. Sad but ok, shut the curtains. The room was OK, I noticed stains on the white sheets, bathroom was tiny, and overall just your average beach room built in the 70's all up and down the Beach for much less money. I wondered what we paid for? Not much, a quick dip in a hot tub was pleasant but again available at any Holiday Inn Express type place. There were two pools, both were clean and offered seats. There was ample towels for guests to use. There were beach benches and they had sun blockers. We ordered some drinks and had them brought out to us, took the guy 20 plus minutes to bring the drinks. Went to dinner at Outpost and was one of the worst service experiences of my life. The atmosphere was nice but the staff seemed stressed out and uninformed. For the high price you pay I would not recommend this place and will not return there again. There are too many other places that have better service and staff. Gift shop staff seemed stressed out about losing her job etc. Was not a pleasant experience.
