Overpriced.Posted Jul 20, 2014
Too expensive for what you pay for. A charge of $20.00 resort fee which you get nothing, a really bad internet connection and a dated room. I will spend my money somewhere else next time.

Worst hotel experience ever! Front desk personnel was rude, they did not have our connecting rooms available, Rooms and hotel were dirty. Will never stay there again.

Great Location with AmenitiesPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: I liked the amenities. They had everything, even kids' toys on the beach. Won't be bringing those next year. :-)
Cons: Instead of charging a $20 nightly resort fee, which by the way also includes wi-fi and bike rentals, they should incorporate it into the nightly fee.
Location: This is in a great spot. Right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants. Can't go wrong here.
We head a great week here! Staff is nice an accomodating. The location is great. It's right on the beach, next to the pier and walking distance to nice restaurants. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful! Fabulous!Posted Jul 13, 2014
This was our first experience staying at a Hilton. I'm guessing this particular Hilton is low key..which was fine for our need's. It was beautiful..clean and with excellent service!! Would definitely stay there again. Thank you for a very pleasurable vacation!

Stay FAR FAR AWAY!Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: A LOT! ESPECIALLY ROOM CLEANLINESS
I am so disappointed that we wasted a day of vacation and $250 on this place. I booked through Expedia and because of a change in schedule we had to move our reservation up a day. We had paid for an ocean view room but we were given a street view room when we arrived. When I called to request the proper room we were told that our ocean view room was available after the staff member argued with me about what we reserved. I told him that I had the receipt for it in my email and I am still not sure why our room was open and we were not given the room we paid for to begin with. Our room smelled AWFUL so we left the patio door open while we went to dinner. When we returned it still smelled terrible. There was mold on our ceiling, a red blood looking stain on our bed skirt, and the chair was filthy. I took photos of all of it and have already been in touch with corporate regarding the state of our room. The hotel manager took our keys upon check out and did not even ask us about our stay. Completely disgusting and unacceptable for this level of a hotel. The ONLY good thing going for this hotel was the location.

Gulf view deceptivePosted Jul 6, 2014
Decent. But definately not the Hyatt. Our "gulf view" did have the ocean in the background...after you look past the field of ac units on the giant utility roof and dumpster. And breakfast bar is 19.99...each.

A "Good" hotelPosted Jul 5, 2014
Even though I got a pretty good deal from Expedia, I still expected more from Hilton "on the beach". Umbrellas were not included in $20/night resort fee. Needs microwave in room as well. Very comfortable beds. Staff was unbelievably great.

Great location. Loved that I didn't need a car.Posted Jul 4, 2014
Great family vacation spot! We traveled with our 3 older children; 20,17, & 16. We were beach bums and enjoyed the hotel amenities and beautiful white sand beach. We walked everywhere and would recommend for families with older children.

Perfect location - could use some upgradesPosted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: The location is PERFECT! So close to the beach and the busy pier that has activities for people of all ages. Staff super friendly, knowledgeable.
Cons: Retractable cord in bathroom to hang wet swimsuits. Maybe replace carpets in room or do some detailed cleaning
Location: Grand! The pier has nightly activities with wonderful entertainment. There's a great park that kids can play which I failed to see mentioned anywhere.
You are paying for location with this hotel - steps to the beach, nice pool, centrally located to shopping, restaurants, even drugstore...but the rooms could use an upgrade. I just felt they were dirty, which is to be expected when u r near the beach. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating. And the amenities were fantastic, but if u r going to have a pool/beach access, perhaps put a retractable cord in the bathroom to hang up wet swimsuits. The pier nearby is super ideal for any age, especially families. SO many activities/entertainment. Plus there's a great park the kids can play. To rent a cabana was super reasonable ($10? - can't recall - just was surprised when they told us the price)

Nice hotelPosted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Room, good AC in a very hot day, location
Cons: Separate screaming kids from couples if possible?, don't charge for late check out?
We called ahead for early check in, once we got there room wasn't ready, however, 5 minutes after we walked away they called us to tell us it was ready. My husband called ahead also to let them know that we were spending our anniversary there, they said that because we booked with Expedia they couldn't do anything however, we found a bottle of wine, cheese, fruit and crackers when we got to our room later that evening, it was a nice surprise. The location is great, the beds are comfortable, but walls too thin, and screaming kids next door woke us up early in the morning. Lots of families with kids, overall, we had a good time, we might come back if the price is right.
