Some issues!!Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Room was nice Views were good
Cons: Luggage carts Housekeeping Service at breakfast very poor Pool
Location: Good location with excellent views over lake. Some shops near by but need to travel into St Petersburg for everything else
Issues with housekeeping returned to find staff still cleaning room at 5 o'clock front staff eventually sorted problem and we did get a free drink. Breakfast service was very poor paid $15 . The food choice was good but no staff available to take order so we just helped ourselves, no coffee until we asked had to find somebody to pay. Other guests complaining at same time. Luggage trollys guests were wandering around the different floors trying to locate one met guest in lift who had just given up! Did not use pool because of the standard of the pool surface very poor.

Corner rooms are very loudPosted Feb 24, 2014
I wish they would have put something regarding the walls being thin and you being able to hear everything going on in the stairwell next to our room. Also it seems they have hotel staff stockrooms right across the hall from the room as well. I should feel like I have to bring ear plugs to a hotel. Nice hotel just stay away from corner rooms.

Excellent Business hotel with good w/e ratesPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Large comfortable clean rooms some with balconies.
Cons: Bathrooms surrounding our room were very noisy.
Location: Well positioned to visit the Tampa Bay area. Local bars and supermarket available within walking distance.
We stayed here for 4 nights over a long w/e whilst the rates were reasonable. We think the hotel is used by business people mainly during the week as the rates rise considerably. Reception was a very organised and business like efficient service who checked us in very quickly and smoothly. Plenty of parking available. Outside the hotel there is an area for walking around a lake on a boardwalk.

Great hotel with friendly staff and a nice viewPosted Feb 18, 2014
As soon as we walked into the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff. When we got to our room, everything was clean and orderly, and the view of the lake and the ocean in the distance was very nice.

Nice hotel next to the beachPosted Feb 17, 2014
Very nice, clean, and fun hotel there are a lot of amenities here including a nice restaurant and room service. The beach is about 10-15 miles away and is a straight shot from the hotel. Also there are a lot of other restaurants around the area and a long the beaches.

One night stay for NYE 2014Posted Jan 3, 2014
Stayed here just for the night for NYE 2014, service staff was awesome. They were kind enough to take a picture of my girlfriend and I in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby. Room was clean, bed was so comfortable and air system was remarkably fast. Overall, if you're in the St. Pete area and need a great hotel to stay at, this is a good pick.

A touch of "country" in the busy city.Posted Dec 18, 2013
Pros: lovely setting, and good restaurant
Cons: carpet in our room showing some wear.
Location: see my remarks
We love to visit St Petersburg, especially at Christmas, to see the downtown lights at the waterfront and visit with family. The Hilton downtown is very nice but charges an additional $18.00 per night for parking. So we choose the Hilton at Carrillon. The Hotel lives up to the Hilton name, parking is free, and the park-like setting is very unusual with walking trails around the lovely lake. Truly a touch of "country"! Yet, hwy 275 is just a few blocks away, downtown St Pete is just 12 minutes drive, and there are many restaurants and a Publix supermarket within a few blocks of the Hotel. (Tampa Airport is right across the bridge.) The Hilton was a great setting for a happy Christmas visit.
