“Fabulous play to stay”

Holiday Inn Express is not ritzy, but for a reasonably-priced hotel, you can't beat this one. Service was fabulous - EVERY ONE of the staff members was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were spotless, and the people who cleaned them were meticulous and cheerful. This hotel is in a great location, with a nice selection of restaurants within walking distance - very close! Breakfast is served every morning and they are johnny-on-the-spot with replenishing the supply. Again, the staff is so happy and friendly! Within walking distance: Sea Sea Riders has an unusual seafood menu (try the grilled shrimp and grits) and Cafe Alfresco has wonderful pork eggrolls and Cajun soup (like gumbo) that is fabulous. There's a bar with live music practically next door, and the Main Street area of Dunedin is right there, with an eclectic group of shops, antique stores, beautiful landscaping, and great paths and trails. Absolutely charming! Within a very short drive, (2 minutes?) try Huarache Mexican Restaurant - good prices, large menu, huge portions! If you stay here and you like the beach, go to Caladesi State Park Island by ferry (just head for Honeymoon Island, and once you pay to get in there - $4.00 - there will be a turn-off for Caladesi, and you have to take a ferry) Beautiful island and beach and good shelling - worth the money (can't remember the charge for the ferry, but not much.)

Great place to stay in Dunedin. Can walk to Dunedin Brewery, House of Beers, and Broadway Cafe. Very close to several beaches. Short drive to Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete downtown areas.

“Really Nice Place & location”

Really nice for the money spent. We were very pleased with the location & staff. Breakfast was also above par. Great place to stay if you want to be close to Clearwater Beach but away from all the shops and loads of people. Will recomend this place and will be returning sometime!

“Will return again for sure!”

Very clean place, very friendly staff (especially Pat), comfortable bed, good AC, tasty breakfast with plenty of warm food and great location. However, I was somewhat perplexed that the bathroom had no towel rods. The towels were piled on the sink, which took away room for toiletries. And although a note was left to "please reuse towels" there is no place to hang them to dry and reuse. I also wondered if unused towels were left for the next guest even though they had been sort of contaminated by us. I think the rooms were newly remodeled, so maybe racks are on backorder :)....otherwise, they may want to rethink that. All in all, would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
