Excellent boutique hotel

Posted Dec 24, 2014
The Hollander was a truly excellent place to stay, with clean, attractive rooms, great service, and a location right in the heart of downtown. The staff were very helpful and really went out of their way to make me feel at home. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in St. Petersburg.

A great alternative hotel with bags of atmosphere

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: see above
Location: From the hotel it is a short walk to the chihuly gallery and the Dali museum Both recommended
the Hollander is miles away from the usual corporate hotel, so just the place if you want something alternative but comfortable and fun too. The Tap room served excellent food and a wide choice of beers and wine with friendly and efficient service. On the two tonights we stayed that had live music which added to the lovely bar atmosphere. I would request. Room at the back of the hotel where it is likely to be quieter.

Fun place to stay

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: location and the mood it set
Cons: water pressure in the shower, but not a big deal.
Location: Great restaurants, shops, museums, lots to do downtown.
from the moment we walked in the staff was warm, friendly and of course helpful. Love the Downtown area, I think it's one of Floridas best kept secrets.

Awesome experience!

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate her birthday. We had an unbelievable experience from check in to check out. And the breakfast is pretty awesome too.

Very groovy

Great place, with a nice bar / pub in the lobby. The bathroom was a little dated, but still very clean. The lobby and overall decor is interesting. Plenty of free parking and a short walk to the water downtown area. A great value.

Top notch service!

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Room was on the smaller side but efficient. Bathroom was very small, but the storage space (medicine and under sink cabinet) made it feel bigger. A shuttle service to downtown is free and easier than getting a taxi. Bar downstairs had excellent drinks at fair prices. Staff was by far the differentiator- had top notch service from check-In to check-out. Will be back!

Very nice and quaint!

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: Location, parking, price, cleanliness.
Cons: The restaurant/bar is too dark.
Location: Close to Beach drive restaurants and waterfront, Sundial shopping center, museums, 4th street and Central Avenue that has so to offer.
This hotel is in a great part of St Petersburg within walking distance of the sights. The room was a little small but for one it had everything I needed. It has self parking on site and a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner including a bar and coffee with baked treats.

A piece of history

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: The staff was great, the Tap Room and the history
Cons: a shelf in the bathroom
a very nice welcome, the room was good, bed comfortable, could use a shelf in the bathroom (most hotels could). Restaurant and bar was very nice, good beer and breakfast. The staff was just great! The hotel itself is very cool, lots of neat decor and lots of history. Not right downtown, but that was not a problem.

Great but...

Posted Dec 1, 2014
The hotel and staff were great and I would totally recommend it to anyone but either you request the last floor rooms or otherwise don't stay. Any little noise is heard in the room. People were speaking regularly in the hallway and you could hear it in the room as if they were screaming. People's steps while walking down the hallway were heard loud as well. Basically, very noisy but it is because of the type of construction.
