“Great getaway”

Homewood Suites was a great choice for my family's visit to the Tampa area. It was located just across the bay from Tampa about 15 minutes from the Tampa airport. The one bedroom suite was not the biggest, but it had everything we needed and was comfortable. I also found it to be extremely quiet during our 6 nights, although it appeared to have a large number of guests. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. The staff was professional and friendly. They were helpful with recommendations and directions. Everyone on the staff said hello when you saw them. The business center was also great as you could look up info and print out whatever you need. The hotel also has complimentary wireless throughout so you can always stay in touch. The small pool was very nice and almost always empty. Food service was great with daily breakfast and a light dinner Monday through Thursday (including draft beer and wine for the adults). A fairly well stocked kitchen in each room lets you make your own if you prefer. We would definitely recommend and return, hopefully soon.

“Clean & comfortable for family or business travel!”

Our family of 4 (including our sons ages 7 and 3) stayed at Homewood Suites Clearwater for 3 nights in Feb 2012. Although this hotel caters to business travelers (free wireless internet, located in business district of town) we were impressed with the family-friendly feel. Pool was clean - nothing special, but we were there for the beach! Our 1-bedroom suite included the kitchenette (fridge/freezer, microwave, stovetop, and dishwasher with clean china), living room (sofa that pulled out into a bed, ottoman, comfy chair, flat screen tv), bedroom (two comfy double beds, dresser, ceiling fan, flat screen tv), and bathroom (large vanity, closet, and a door secluding the toilet and tub/shower). The free "Suite Start" hot breakfast every day was plentiful and had a good variety. Every day included homemade waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cottage cheese, and two hot selections that changed daily (one day was omelettes and bacon, one day was breakfast taquitos and sausage patties) - nice and hot, everything was fresh and tasty. Free coffee in the lobby all day & night. Monday through Thursday there was also complimentary dinner hors d'eouvres and free tap beer and wine! Housekeeping even went the extra mile and lined up the kids' stuffed animals. Would definitely stay here again for either business or leisure travel!

Clean, smelled good, breakfast and supper, pool. I'd stay there again. Only down side was the walk to our room - a little long. Otherwise, wonderful

“Great place for everyone”

We stayed in a suite sleeping six with a pack and play for our baby. The staff were very helpful with check-in and out and during the entire stay. We stayed for six nights and loved having breakfast at the hotel every morning.

“Good location, noisy shower :(”

When the person next door took a shower it was very loud. This was a problem when we tried to get to bed by 11:00 pm. Room was a little cramped. The location was great though. Publix across the street. Panera next door. CVS, Cracker Barrel and a Shell station a few blocks away. Only 15 minutes to Bright House Field. Short drives to St Pete, Tampa . . . Only one hour and 15 minutes to Epcot too. Breakfast was ok.
