Horrible experience.

Pros: Nothing. Was a horrible experience.
Cons: Everything. Cleaner rooms, remove statins off of carpets, clean room better, fix holes in walls and cabinets.
Location: There are many activities close by which is the reason we booked this hotel.
Got to the hotel at 2 upon check in time girl at front desk had to call and find out if room was ready. But check in time was at 2. Luckily room was ready. We did book a smoking room and knew there would be some odor from smoke. We went in and just placed our bags down and went about site seeing all afternoon and evening hence the reason we booked the hotel to be out doing things not staying in the room. Got back to the room very tired at 10 that evening. Room was gross. We didn't fully inspect room when we first arrived. Mistake I will never make again. Room was beyond smelling bad of smoke was more like a smell of someone that had gotten sick. Holes in walls, stains on walls, carpet, towels, furniture, lamp shades. Stains on curtains. Had to wear shoes all throughout room was afraid to take shoes off because of the condition of carpet. Was too exhausted from sight seeing to call front desk plus it was so late. Figured for one night maybe we could tolerate the smell and issues. Bad mistake again. Smell kept me up all night. Next morning taking a shower was bad. Water didn't drain out of tub, towels had stains on them. Was mortified. Complained at front desk that morning and wasn't offered any discount because of issues. Girl at front desk stated we should have said something last night. Sorry I guess this is my fault because we were sight seeing all day and didn't fully inspect room on arrival gave it the benefit of the doubt because this was a hojo motel.

Night clerk was really nice. The one in the morning was a witch. I am a truck driver and had picked that one cause of locale..it's near my mom's nursing home. Inquired bout some chargers I had left in room..One minute was like oh I can look than next well we give that stuff away if our guests need something. They would have had a guest once a month every 1-2 months for 3-5 days ...lost my business

Cons: someone needs to talk a walk along the back and pick up all the garbage...
Location: Dog parks and good restaurants...
We had our dog with us which was the reason we decided upon this hotel. There was plenty of room to walk our dog. We enjoyed numerous good restaurants within a 15 minute drive,,,everything you could desire...

Not Going Back!

Asked for non-smoking… Booked online. Got a room that smelled of cigarette smoking. Talked to the front desk staff. We were told it was a non-smoking room, and we were WRONG about the smoke smell. They would not give us a different room. The next day, we checked out. Eventually, around 5:00, we checked into a different room. In this room, the telephone didn't work, and the exterior door would not shut, or lock. They tried to fix the door - it still didn't lock. We tried to be nice - but the front desk staff was never friendly. Stayed 5 nights - so HAPPY to leave. Would have left earlier, but I could not get my money back.

I'm sorry your stay wasn't up to our normal standards. I do remember this particular incident with the non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. The room was in fact a non-smoking room. No one was trying to say that you were not experiencing an odor issue; we were trying to impart upon you that we didn't try to pass off a smoking room as non-smoking for you because we were so busy. We were able to move your room to another location the next day; and I apologize that the door was of issue. These are not normal items that our guests experience during a stay.

caution - if you book for multiple nights, there's no revising your plans. You pay the full amount of your stay, whether or not you stay the whole time you've booked. it might be more economical to book one night at a time to allow yourself flexibility if your plans change.

In this particular circumstance, we did refund a credit to Hotels.com. We do try to work with our 3rd party booking sites, however, they are the one's that guests first pay, and then Hotels.com pays the hotel separately. The reservation type that was being sold was a stay and save rate; meaning no cancellations, no changes, and no refunds, however we do make exceptions. This is a case in which we did refund 2 days back to the 3rd party site. Perhaps the credit has yet to catch up to your account.
