Nice staff, on beach, but needs renovationPosted Apr 24, 2015
It was like a Goodwill thrift shop, none of the furniture matched, but worse it wasn't clean. My daughter and I stayed for the weekend and had a great time on the beach. We wore our flip flops in the shower and didn't use the drawers for clothes, a mystery gunk was in one. Great location and once they renovate it will be very worth the money to stay there. The staff was very nice.

One week stayPosted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Beach location was terrific. Kitchenettes handy for families.
Cons: Rooms need upgrading and carpets need cleaning. Would be nice if hotel could provide cabana chairs on the beach. We rented a double for $25.00/day
Location: Good local restaurants nearby. Clearwater Marine Aquarium 25 minute drive. Parasailing, wave runners available down the beach.
Just returned from one week April 3 -9, 2015. Hotel has basic comforts, food at Toasted Monkey was good and bar by the pool was busy but very handy. Location right on the beach was just what we hoped for. Excellent location. Good local restaurants nearby.

Older Hotel right on the BeachPosted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Location right on the Beach!! Restaurant (indoor and outdoor) was very good. Live music made for a fun atmosphere. Good mix of guests. Families, etc
Cons: Updates needed....carpeting...elevators....walls...decorations. Very dated.
Location: Lots to do! Beach, pool, many many restaurants....ice cream shops, etc. Very busy tourist area. Fun area.
We stayed two nights. Our first trip to St. Pete's Beach....area is beautiful. Hotel is right on the beach which was wonderful. *had to pay $25 to rent cabana/lounge chairs on the beach. not part of the hotel* The hotel is dated....rooms were pretty comfortable and clean...but old. Hotel could use a revamp....new carpeting, updated elevators (elevators very small esp w luggage). Walls thin...could hear noises and voices all day and night. The restaurant on site was reasonably priced and quite good. Live music was great. Compared to other hotels in the same area, the price was right. I would definitely come back to St. Pete's beach, but would probably stay elsewhere and pay extra for an upgraded accommodation.

Very good price for a hotel on the beach.Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: It's on the beach, nice pool, clean, comfortable beds.
Cons: When we first came into the room there was a strong chemical smell, probably the cleaning agent they use. Fortunately, we could air it out.
Location: We love St. Pete Beach and always go the the Chill Restaurant and the Art Expo Gallery on the same street. Both are top notch.
Not as new and upscale as other hotels on St. Pete Beach that we have seen or stayed in, but it was clean and meant our needs well. The young woman at the desk was very friendly.

You get what you pay forPosted Mar 27, 2015
Cheap hotel close to beach. Good for young partying adults. Not good for family with children. Safe is small with extra charge. First night 9:20 pm security came charging in, if not for the bar your throw to stop someone. Scared the &$&? out of my husband and I. Guy said we were on a list of rooms to check? How about try knocking? Front desk called a few minutes later b/c there was some confusion about our check-in. Really?, you could not have called first then sent someone to check if there was no answer. Made me feel very uneasy. Also we were were there three nights and needed to ask for maid service after two nights b/c the pile of towels was growing, we were using pool towels for room towels. Not to mention garbage was piling up. This was our second year in a row staying here and our last. Very disappointing.

definitely not a "resort"Posted Mar 24, 2015
While the front desk staff was very friendly, the condition of the hotel leaves something to be desired. The hallways are dilapidated and the carpet was extremely grungy. There was hair all over our unused shower and dirt all over the floor or our room. The walls and doors are also paper thin. I have stayed in much nicer hotels on St. Pete Beach with much nicer amenities and facilities for comparable prices. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway this is definitely not where you want to stay.
