Had a great time. Went for a long weekend for a family wedding. We had adjoining rooms for myself and husband and our young adults.

This hotel was clean and beautiful.

Pros: Good location, cleanliness, private room entrances, free breakfast, friendly helpful staff, premium bedding, very comfortable and assuring.
Cons: Offer filtered water. I'm from Georgia and the water in Florida tastes funny, like sulphur.
Location: Close to beach, bay, dining, bakery next door, gas and coffee, auto parts (oil), nearby attractions.
From the time I arrived I loved it. The hotel is good looking and in a good location. The parking area is clean, well kept and behind the hotel where it should be. The hotel is pet friendly and clean, no stains or smells. All room entrances are from within the hotel and safe. The hotel is very clean and new looking on the inside. The beds have pillow top mattresses and are very comfortable. The carpet is clean and decorative. The linen is white and clean and smells good. The bathroom is roomy and sanitary with granite top counter and plenty of hot water. The AC is cold, good for sleeping. Free breakfast is very good and offered enough variety to please most people. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The maids were also very friendly and helpful. Check in and out was a breeze. I would stay again!

Think 2 star, no extras or perks.

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: 5 mins to the place I needed to be for the week.
Cons: Make tea and coffee available during the day!
Location: Run down part of St. Pete.
I decided to pay a tad extra and stay at this hotel because it was rated a 2 1/2 star. I needed a specific location so the choices were limited too. The surrounding area is an older part of St. Pete. I was there for almost a week and the word "minimal" comes to mind. They have the kitchen/dining area closed off completely except during breakfast hours (6:30-9:30 a.m.). That means no little extras like coffee or tea during the day. I requested a late check-out of 2 hours (1 p.m. instead of 11 a.m.) and I had to negotiate. Mind you I had been there for a week, believe me the hotel barely had capacity and they made a nice chunk of change off of me. The least they could do was accommodate to my schedule. I could understand if they were hopping but that was so not the case. The pool is useless and outside right off the main road. My room was facing the Main Street and it was consistently noisy. Gym nothing to write home about and I didn't check out the laundry on the third floor. A/C-heating unit in the room needed some attention, mini fridge did not keep things cold, I found an item in the safe, and a dirty plate in the microwave. Staff was courteous yet not inviting if that makes sense. At the end of the day I would rate the hotel a 2 star not a 2 1/2 star.

Good Value

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: It is affordable and convenient.
Cons: The breakfasts and the internet access. I can receive e-mail, but have problems getting replies sent on time.
Location: There is a city park about 4 blocks behind the hotel, where we like to take our morning walks.
We stay at this hotel several times a year, when we visit my elderly parents. The facilities are very good, and it is convenient to downtown. The breakfasts leave a lot to be desired, but are adequate.

Not meant for a vacation

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Stayed here during a family illness. The hotel is adequate. It's not a resort or nice place to stay for a vacation in my eyes. It was just nice enough for our purposes. Rooms are huge. I give the bed a C grade. Mattress was pretty hard. My husband and I noticed our feet were getting dirty, so I cleaned the bathroom and entry way floor, both towels I used were black. I think the carpet needs to be cleaned as well. Other than that it was clean.

Just OK

Posted Jun 16, 2014
The hotel was very basic, but for the most part clean. There was a horrible odor of deodorizer in the hallways. Our AC did not work in our room; not what you want in the middle of June in Florida! We were looking for a room for one night close to the airport, so it was ok for that but I would not recommend the hotel for another stay.

Rooms nice, area not so much

Posted May 29, 2014
I was worried about this hotel when I pulled up - it's not in the best area and there seemed to be some sketchy guests. But once I got in the room, I was happy. Wifi worked well and the room was more than satisfactory for the price. There were people yelling outside but they quieted down before 10 or so.
