“Very nice budget hotel”

5 night stay at this location. My room looked to have been recently redecorated. Big room with recliner, flat screen TV, microwave, fridge and free wi-fi. Breakfast and pool area very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. I can't think of one negative thing about the stay. Easy access to I275, about 15 minutes to Tampa. Very nice hotel at a great price.

“Renovated 2011”

The hotel was undergoing a renovation and we were very pleased with how clean and quiet it was through this process. The front desk attendants were very courteous and helpful. Would def. stay at this hotel again.

“Good Value for the Money”

Was looking for an inexpensive, but not dumpy hotel close to family and the Clearwater/St.Pete airport. This hotel was not extravagent but was still pleasant and comfortable. Staff was pleasant, courteous and accomodating. They even allowed another guest in early to the continental breakfast to get coffee and fruit prior to it opening because he had military PT to be at. Room needed a little updating but the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in in many years! The only drawback is that it is set on a very busy section of Ulmerton Rd (not the most fun for a woman who lives in the country). Relatively easy to get to, close to many restaurants, safe area, close to airport, centrally located with easy access to pretty much all of the surrounding areas and well worth the money.

Outdoors or beach

Clearwater Beach is great but parking and traffic are terrible. Very costly. It's a hike to get to Sarasota (about an hour) but well worth it. Siesta Key Beach is beautiful! The sand is crushed quartz (so I'm told) so it does not get hot even in the blazing sun. It stays a cool comfortable temperature. There are more souvenir shops in Clearwater and many more things are in walking distance but the peace and quiet of Siesta Key trumps all of that!

“My private getaway”

I take one night a month to get away from the extreme stress in my life. My friend always goes with me and we just hang and this is my second stay here. I love how the hotel is set up, our room has been near the pool each time, it's pretty quiet except for the occasional plane and the breakfast is great. More than muffins and cereal, we had HOT waffles that we make. I've decided this will be my private getaway every month.

“Jessica”

Absolutely amazing stay! I will definitely go back and stay at this hotel again! The staff at the front desk were so sweet, they have no problem helping you with what ever needs you may have. They put soooo many pillows on your bed there bed is so comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Me and my family had a very pleasant stay!

Area recommendations

Clearwater, florid on ulmerton road. The area is nice and tons of places to eat at and close to the beaches.

“Couldn't have been more convenient”

Everything about the hotel was more than satisfactory. Staff friendly and accommodating, room clean, and even a very nice Continental breakfast. Being near to the airport, with shuttle service was a big plus!

“You dont always get what you want!”

I reserved a king size bed and a smoking room. Upon check in we discovered our room was a non-smoking room. So we lugged our luggage(No luggage carts) back down to the office. They reassigned us to another room and when we got to the second room we found it only had a queen bed and the head of the bed was in between two walls that looked like at one time were closets and they just took down the bar to hang the hanger and took off the doors. We decided that after lugging our stuff all over the place we would leave it in the second room and head out to get something to eat at the restaurant next door. As we went by the desk I spoke to the girl behind the desk about our room not being a king size bed and she stated that they do not guarantee your room choice. I was very disappointed with the service I received! The room was very clean and the up keep of the hotel was very good for the age. It was near many restaurants and everything else about the place I was very satisfied with.

Plenty of food and gas suppliers at a reasonable price.

Family-friendly activities

There is a diner cruise that is only about 20 minutes away called the Starlite Diner Cruise and they have the best cooked meals and live music! We were on a paddle boat that is beautiful and was very fancy looking!! The staff are great! My wife and I went on for our anniversary and we loved it so much we are going to go again!

“nothing special”

Not bad but not good. Staff were great, pool and hot tub area was fine but the shower was only luke warm and there was garbage in the garbage can in my room when i checked in.

“Pool Should Open At 8am”

They need scrambled eggs and some meats for breakfast, otherwise its a very good hotel.

“Great for a family vacation”

Everything about the hotel was nice--rooms, free breakfast, location, pool/hot tub area. We were there from Idaho to escape the snow, with our 12 year old son, and our stay was great. Not too far from the beaches (10 to 30 minute drive), and on a main road with lots of stores, large variety of places to eat, etc.

Area recommendations

St. Petersburg Municipal Beach is great! Also went to a Rays baseball game. Stadium was very nice. The Largo Mall was 5 or 6 miles down the road, but it had everything from a grocery store, to a dollar store, to a nice movie theater that was fairly inexpensive.
