Classic hotel on beautiful beachPosted Apr 14, 2014
We spent three days and two nights at the hotel with our children. The hotel has been renovated since my last visit and it is great. The kids love the hotel. The food is great and the beach is beautiful.

Great hotel, great staff!Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: As above.
Cons: Bathroom for a "Luxury King" was a little cramped although the bedroom area was fine.
Location: Great beachside location within easy reach of bars and restaurants nearby.
Whilst only on a short stay over 2 nights we were very impressed by the level and quality of service from the hotel staff, right across the board from reception, valet parking, pool and bar.

Lovely hotel, but...Posted Apr 13, 2014
Lovely hotel and beach location, but this stay not as pleasant as first stay several yrs. ago prior to Loews take over. Hotel staff including conceirge, wait staff, room service, and bell staff need better training and preparation. Excellent housekeeping and store employees. Star of visit was a doorman named Joshua. Hotel is a classy, historic hotel that, unfortunately, is loosing its class by the need for better staff training and preparation, mandatory daily resort fees, (for some items not desired or used by guests), and the mandatory daily beach chair charges. I really love this hotel, but was very saddened and, frankly, insulted by these mandatory charges and lack of staff knowledge, preparation, and training especially for paying for such an upscale facility. The Don Cesar deserves much better.

Its the Don or Vinoy; only one has a beach..Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: I enjoy the sand they bring in.
Cons: More sand being brought in; perhaps a floating destination off the beach, san-pans to nearby restaurants. You can hire me for more marketing/thinktank
Location: Snappers is by far the best place to eat, Silas Dents can sell a good steak, i like GiGi's for a easy eat. BUT the best move is wine/champagne @ sunst
Stayed many times; great weekend 'in town' getaway. Ive never done the spa or visited the gym, i mostly make myself a roadie (from room to poolside) and proceed to spend $100 by the pool. Food/drinks are tasty and servers are prompt, once the liquid motivation is good, dip in the ocean followed by the pool is due. Repeat process through-out day.

The only place I will stay when I'm in st pete! Clean and spacious rooms, lots of things to do at the hotel, the staff is so welcoming and helpful. Have been visiting the don Cesar since I was a little girl and I still enjoy staying there everytime.

The staff is incredible. They go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. Every where you went, a staff member greeted you with a smile.

Beautiful hotel with clean white sandy beaches.Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Great location and clean
Cons: Not allowing the sister hotel to use the pool area. Not much room for the guests staying at the Don
Location: All water sports
The wedding we had there was amazing. I ordered the snapper as my entree option. It was over cooked.
