Inexpensive near the beachPosted Aug 22, 2014
Not like the luxury hotels nearby, but it's the same beach. Not a good breakfast, but staff nice and maids work very hard to keep it clean.

Great pool, nice room just across from the beach.Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Reasonable charge for the room. Kids enjoyed the pool, very close to beach and other attractions.
Cons: Elevator was broke down upon arrival, but was fixed later in the day.
Location: Beach, Pier 60 activities
We had no issue with the room, it was clean and comfortable. The room was within walking distance of Pier 60 and had many shops and restaurants available.

Nice, close to beachPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Spacious, clean room. Close to the beach
Cons: New carpet! Parking rules! Mattresses!
Location: Beach, Pier 60
We go to Clearwater Beach almost every 3-4 months and this was our first time at Magnuson. We loved it! The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was close to everything (Beach, Pier 60, eateries). My only issue was the parking rules. I asked to extend our checkout 30 minutes to walk to a nearby gift shop and was told my car would be subject to tow. Really? They couldn't give me 30 minutes!! Beyond that it was great and we would book there again!

close to beachPosted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: close to beach
Cons: hotel needs updating
Location: near beach and activities near pier.
Tiny bathroom, very outdated, faucet sprayed water everywhere and was very hard to turn on. Shower extremely hard to turn on also. Bath counter unlevel and everything slid off (nail polish, etc.). No hair dryer, no microwave, no coffee maker. Very thin coverlet for bed covers. My room was also noisy (right next to ice machine and elevator!!!!)

Pros: Closeness to the beach
Cons: The entire hotel needs to be upgraded and the outside should be cleaned up.
Location: Beach and restaurants made up for the hotel.
Room was priced fairly since it was right next to beach. Check in was easy and he was friendly. However house keeping was not, even when you said hello to them they ignored you. They also would not move out of your way if you were attempting to get on the elevator. They parked there cleaning carts where-ever. On our 2nd day the elevator was broken and remained broken until the next day. Being on the 3rd floor and having a muscle disorder made it difficult. Walls are thin so I was awoken by a couple having a very loud arguement in the middle of the night. The pool was nice but the patio arond the pool especially on one side was extremly dirty. They keep a lot of items they removed from the rooms on the side of the hotel. It just looked very dirty. Saturday morning I went to take a shower and could not get the water to turn on. My husband attempted and finally did get it to work but you had to pull the shower know really hard as if you were ripping it off the wall to get the water on. I am real easy to please and usually never complain but I would not stay there again. I did pay $300 for 2 nights so I would have expected a little bit more friendly service. The hotel could not know that people would be loud or fighting so that I do not blame on them however the staff can use a lesson in being friendly and the maintenance staff should do a better job. With the money they make a night they should start to upgrade there rooms.

Great location, decent room for the price.Posted Jul 21, 2014
Clean enough - great spot.. door handle came off in our hands when we tried to leave.. it wasn't fixed until the next day (all it needed was a screw) and housekeeping left our door open due to the issue when they came by. For the price and location I'd go back
