ideal for spring break

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: relatively clean room! that's it....
Cons: take down guests license plate and don't tow the guests.....
Location: great beach across the street, next to the huge construction site.
kinda dingy outside. rooms are clean but this is NOT an upscale stay... many other choices around this proce with MUCH better accomodations. Don't forget to keep your parking pass visible, they will tow you and that's $110 plus a cab ride...Breakfast??? yeah right, a coffee machine and toaster. prepackaged bread and honey buns.

Nice view, bad maintenance

Posted Sep 20, 2014
We stayed two nights. The 2 night the toilet clogged and they were nice enough to bring a plunger so I do the job! The tv didn't work so they offer to give me the key of other room to watch tv at no extra cost! And they upgraded my room for $10 only! God knows the condition of the normal rooms!

continental breakfast could have been better. Just a tie over until you get to something better.

Inexpensive near the beach

Not like the luxury hotels nearby, but it's the same beach. Not a good breakfast, but staff nice and maids work very hard to keep it clean.

Great pool, nice room just across from the beach.

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Reasonable charge for the room. Kids enjoyed the pool, very close to beach and other attractions.
Cons: Elevator was broke down upon arrival, but was fixed later in the day.
Location: Beach, Pier 60 activities
We had no issue with the room, it was clean and comfortable. The room was within walking distance of Pier 60 and had many shops and restaurants available.

Nice, close to beach

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Spacious, clean room. Close to the beach
Cons: New carpet! Parking rules! Mattresses!
Location: Beach, Pier 60
We go to Clearwater Beach almost every 3-4 months and this was our first time at Magnuson. We loved it! The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was close to everything (Beach, Pier 60, eateries). My only issue was the parking rules. I asked to extend our checkout 30 minutes to walk to a nearby gift shop and was told my car would be subject to tow. Really? They couldn't give me 30 minutes!! Beyond that it was great and we would book there again!
