Good for the most partPosted Mar 13, 2014
Pros: parking, staff, beach, pool, shops, etc.
Cons: Noise isolation in rooms. Waffles weren't bad, but were uninspired.
Location: there's some riff-raff in clearwater. It was nice to stay on sand key and have an island all the yourself practically.
Close to their own private beach. Comfy and clean room. We could hear the people in the room next to us any time they made noise though. And they weren't being noisy - we could hear them chatting, coughing, and yawning. I could literally hear someone in the next room over yawning. Pretty annoying if you are used to most hotels that do a good job at keeping sound in/out. Otherwise, I liked it. Friendly staff, lots of parking.

Nice Hotel on the beachPosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: The view and amenities.
Location: A short drive to the main Clearwater Beach. But a wonderful beach for nice walks right there.
Great service! Very hospitable, not snobby at all. Did all they could to please us. Great rooms and awesome pool for the kids, our youngest learned how to swim in their pool! Loved the expansive beach view in the rear of the hotel. Great breakfast.

Great location--close to the beach.Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Beach access was great. Close to a park, walking trails and other activities. Nice pool and hot tub pool but a little small. Good fitness center
Cons: The rooms were small if you are traveling with children. Closet and drawer space limited. Bathrooms very small.
Location: Beach access was great. Walking distance to the town of Clearwater. Great location for baseball spring training!
We booked this hotel for a long family weekend for spring training. The location was perfect and the beach is beautiful. The rooms were a little cramped for a couple and 2 children but probably would be great for a couple. Overall, we had a great time!

Lots of beach!Posted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: Sheraton beds are the best of any hotel.
Cons: Booked a room with 2 queens thru Expedia. Lady at the desk insisted that I booked a king by mistake (I didn't). Had to switch rooms the 2nd night.
Location: Many beaches to walk and collect shells. Great segway tour down in John's Pass. 2 hours from Disney World.
Great hotel. Great location on Sand Key, just outside of the extremely populated village of Clearwater Beach. Tons of beach! Great pool too.

Surrounded by Ocean!!!Posted Mar 8, 2014
The views were spectacular!!! Ocean to the right and Bay view to the left! One minute by car to Clearwater's restaurants, shops, and Pier 60. Walking distance to three wonderful restaurants that I would suggest HIGHLY- The Columbia(Authentic Spanish), Pizza Bazzar (Authentic Greek), and the Best Breakfast in the State (I am quite sure)- Maggie Mae's Sunrise Café. Back to the hotel- great location, clean, good restaurants, a 24 hour coffee shop and store. Everything we could have wanted was right there. A couple of suggestions- refrigerator in the room and move the toilets OUT of the shower area as you can barely get the door shut. Other than that- Wonderful

Nice Hotel Off the Beaten PathPosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Quietness, proximity to beach
Cons: The bathrooms are tiny.
Location: Phillies and Yankees stadiums aren't too far away for Spring Training games. Beach is right out the door. Day boat trips were available.
This hotel had a fantastic beachfront - 10 acres, I believe. We had a view facing the ocean and you could watch some gorgeous sunsets in the evening from your balcony. The room was a little small - bathroom extremely small, which was the only downfall. The staff was very courteous. We ate breakfast at Rusty's in the hotel, which was very good (also try Maggie Mae's at the plaza down the street!). You could get a nice 2 mile walk in from the hotel, over the bridge and back, with a beautiful view! This hotel is away from the hustle and bustle over in Clearwater, yet close by if you wanted to go in shopping or restaurants there.

Sand Key and the Clearwater area are known for their exceptional beaches. Yes! we are so lucky to have 10 acres of Island beach to stroll along the shore or just find a corner to be away from everyone other than who you chose to bring with you. It is a slice of paradise here on Sand Key, it can be such tranquil a place to relax and reflect. That view from the bridge is beautiful with sailboats all about, dolphins playing and maybe a glimpse of a pirate ship heading into the sunset. Or it can be a place to play water sports, tennis or volley ball. You might enjoy a few cocktails or swim in the pool. You can shop or dine and as you said maybe choose a baseball game. We hope this first trip to Clearwater and the Sheraton Sand Key will not will be your last.

Nice hotel on beachPosted Mar 6, 2014
Cons: Need to update the rooms. The bedding was great but the bathrooms were small. The room was clean.
Location: Location was great. On beach and next to bridge into Clearwater beach where there is much more congestion.
Hotel is in a nice area beach front. However the beach is very wide at this point, so the walk to the gulf is 5 minutes. Hotel staff was very friendly. The facilities need updating. There was some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The pool area is nice. There are plenty of places to get a bite to eat. Located right next to a park.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay. The beach is a bit of a walk, it is very much appreciated when the crowds come for Spring Break you are still able to find some privacy on Sand Key beach. It is nice to have the best of both worlds’ just minutes away from each other, Clearwater on one side and Sand Key on the other side. We are proud of our associates they truly care and are very efficient ensuring our guests needs are met. We are pleased that you enjoyed the comfort of our “Sweet Sleeper” beds. We are constantly renovating on a regular basis to keep the hotel updated and will continue to do so to fix those worn out areas. We are in the first phase of putting new furniture in the rooms at this time and will finish when occupancy allows. We hope you will plan another stay at the Sheraton Sand Key at a future date.
