The people make you want to go back.

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: People. Location.
Cons: Entire hotel needs upgraded.
Location: Nice restaurants within walking distance. Britts is excellent
This was our second stay and we only went back a second time because the price was competitive, good location and the people are really great. Stayed in a room that the air conditioner was broken. We had it set on 62 the entire time and it never got cool. We asked for a fan and a maintenance guy brought one stating, "here's a dirty one I found in the maintenance room." It had dust balls all over it front and back. Tried to clean it and just went all over the floor. The housekeeper cleaned it for us the next day. We thought the shower didn't have hot water, but that would be incorrect...the control was backwards. Hot was cold and cold was hot. The kitchen in the efficiency was lopsided so everything rolled to one side. The tiki bar by the pool again has nice bartenders and great drinks but hours are very limited. If you get a spot in the parking lot, don't leave because you'll lose it and you really don't want that to happen. The competition on that strip is too good for a hotel to be in this kind of poor shape. I've decided I'll be staying at the Bilmar in the future and I'll walk next door to say hi to all the nice people.

Vacation

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Staff was nice and bed was comfortable. Had live music.
Cons: The doors between the rooms should be changed with some type of sound proof material in them.
Location: Walking distance to eating places.
We were here for 3 nights. On the first night the people next to us were extremely noisy. Yelling at the kids, kids screaming and crying and pots and pans banging. You could hear it all through the adjoining door. Lucky for us they left the next day and it was peaceful. It would have been nice to be notified about the string ray season. You could go in the gulf but had to shuffle your feet to walk. Not too impressed overall. Staff was nice, bed was comfortable and room clean. Hotel is outdated. Also, long walk to the beach. The price we paid was not worth the stay.

We paid for "RESORT" is ridiculous. This is motel. The hotel room do not match the pictures in website. Beds are full size , not queen beds.... nice live music, but drunk people & smokers around kids...:/

Nice hotel & restaurant on Treasure Is beach

Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: The hotel service, restaurant food and service, hot tub, and walk on the beach were very nice. The brochure guest directory provides much information.
Cons: The standard room cable channel selection could be improved if some additional movie channels were available. A cable guide of what program is needed.
Location: We were there for only one night and we stayed within the Thunderbird and it's property.
The hotel staff met us with a smile. We checked in and made arrangements for our suitcases to be brought to the room within 5 minutes. The Thunderbird has nice standard rooms with great views of the beach. The tikki bar gives free refills of soda. There was a singer, nearby the tikki bar and pool, singing jimmy buffet music. There is also a nice hot tub to relax in. Feola's italian restaurant served a great tender clam lingiune by Brandie at a reasonable price. Breakfast served by Melonie was good, also.

Great weekend vacation!

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: See experience
Cons: See experience
Location: See experience
Loved the live music by the pool. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely accommodating. The pool is small and usually occupied by children, so we did not use it. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The restaurant food was very good and portions were huge! We had the leftovers for lunch. Parking gets a little difficult in the afternoon, but the staff did everything to make sure we had parking, evening giving up their own parking space. It was a wonderful weekend getaway for myself and two teenage girls. Close to the airport and fun activities in Maderia Beach.

Good but not outstanding hotel

Good location, great pool facilities, friendly staff (esp. bartender), and near beach (if a bit of a walk). Suite was clean and had main amenities but was more dismal and dated than the photos online suggest.

Close to beach, friendly staff

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: The staff was exceptional and the grounds were beautiful. The food was very good, especially the pizza they will deliver to your room.
Cons: Unfortunately, the tiki bar had very limited seating
Location: Johns Pass was within walking distance. We were able to walk down the beach walk to other outside bars, listen to music. Close to shopping
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We unfortunately did not make a reservation for sunday brunch, however, the waitress was able to seat the six of us at a smaller table which worked perfectly. Our room was large enough for 4 adults and suited our needs perfectly. We enjoyed sitting at the tiki bar watching the sunset. I really enjoyed everything about this hotel, the grounds were kept clean, although the rooms are a little dated they were still very efficient and clean, flowers were beautiful and the ocean view was perfect.

Music at sunset is a nice touch

Posted May 11, 2015
Husband and I stayed for 4 nights. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. They have a tiki bar and play music at sunset really enjoyed that. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is the water is too far away.

Old School

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: It's clean.
Cons: It needs an update, and it's way overpriced.
Location: It's kind of a sketchy area. The pizza place across the street is nice.
What we paid for this "resort" is ridiculous! It's very old. The room was clean, but that's about all I can say. The beds gave us a backache, the hotel is very old, the pool is practically on top of your room, so it's really loud, and the parking is crazy! If you're a smoker, you'll fit right in. Everyone sits outside their room and smokes. Their building something next door, so you will promptly awaken at 7:00 to bulldozers and loud beeping. Have fun.

Great hotel. Longer walk across the sand to get to the beach but not a problem. Reasonable rates, close to town, pool area, always a live band outside by the bar. Fun place!
