“Not impressed”
Parking area horrible (paving was started) big problem getting in and out of hotel. Room small. For the price we've stayed at better hotels.
“Nice”
Pleasant. Peaceful
“Nice hotel”
The lobby area is very nice and the facilities are good. The service was excellent and the location is very good.
“Linda, St. Peters, MO”
We had a fabulous time in St. Pete!! We upgraded to a beach side room to be able to see the ocean every morning. It was beautiful; however, be aware that on the beach side/pool side, you are also on the pool bar side which could be loud at night. Otherwise, we had a nice time.
“Great view, great time”
Really beautiful beach and view. Had a room on the ground floor that opened to pool and beach. Had a kitchen (very helpful). It was great for the money paid. However, a few complaints. First, housekeeping never came for the entire 3 day stay. We had to call several times to have someone come and empty trash. Also, the beds and couches were very uncomfortable. Not much sleep was had, and living room wasn't very nice to lounge in. Also, lots of broken glass found on beach. Other than that, it was a lovely time.
“Perfect weekend getaway”
Very satisfied with the location and convenience of the hotel to surrounding dining, bars and entertainment. The beach is beutiful and the pools are very clean with enough lounging chairs. There was one minor problem with having to call the front desk to remind them to clean the room.
“A little gem”
This hotel is the cheaper little brother of the other Tradewinds, with access to both. It's about a 2 minute walk to the other one. The cabana on the beach was fantastic, cheap drinks at the pool bar, and super friendly staff. I would definitely go back. I don't have 1 bad thing to say about our experience.
“Great Hotel with one drawback”
Can't say enough about the excellent staff and service! Friendly, helpful, very prompt to fix any problems. Original room was two doublebeds in one very cramped room. Second day they moved us to king room which was great improvement. Beds very comfortable, loved the bright tropical decor. Not new butt nice and clean and in good repair. Grounds very nice, beach was amazing. Only complaint which was a pretty big one for me...the piped in music around the adult "quiet" pool was too loud. You could hear it 13 hours a day inside our room and couldn't-sleep in past 9:00 a.m. or use the patio for that reason. It became a grating irritation of base drum and kettle drums. I requested they turn it down and the manager said they did not control the volume and could only move us to another room. By this time we were half way through our stay so opted not to move. This being said, we would return for the great folks at Sandpiper and the beach!!
“St Pete overnight”
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the beach cabana and we got a great recommendation for a local seafood restaurant, Dockside Daves. Our room was very comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the adult pool area. I would definitely stay here again as it is a great value hotel.
“Not as I expected”
We just got back and we were disappointed....We had to find our own way in the maze of the 2 complexes to find the activiites. We changed room on the 2nd night because of bad mattress. This is supposed to be a family oriented resort and it was flowded with bar crawlers duruing the weekend. There was not much activities for teenagers. The food was ok but expensive. The resort is located on a very buzy strip of hotels. The best thing was the weather, the clean beach and the clear Gulf water full of fishes!
