Great hotel for a good price

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Cons: The only thing missing was a free breakfast, but luckily The Waffle House is next door.
The room was clean and nicely furnished. It was great to have a small kitchenette in our room--sink, cabinets, microwave, refrigerator with a separate freezer. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony. Would definitely recommend this to others.

Reasonably price with great views.

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Cons: Sink in my room this time was cracked. Room last time was fine.
Hotel is conveniently located right across from the beach. On the upper floors facing west you can see the ocean. In the east facing rooms there is a view of the waterway. Staff is very nice and eager to help. I've stayed at this hotel before but my pet peeve is their late checkout policy -- $10 for an additional hour. Seems very miserly particularly when I had a 4-night stay.

Great stay

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Terrific staff
Cons: They need to include breakfast.
Location: Nice beach and some restaurants
The hotel is located right across the street from the beach. It is in a good location. I has a nice swimming pool. The room was clean and tidy. The staff at the front desk was great. Caroline and Andy were friendly, extremely helpful and really went out of their way. They made my stay very enjoyable.

Basic Hotel

Posted Jan 9, 2015
At check-in, I was told the pool was to be closed for renovation during three of our seven day stay. Wasn't made aware of this fact when I booked the hotel. Coffee in lounge area on second floor was awful. Traffic in front of hotel was very noisy making it hard to relax at the pool. The only good thing it had going for it was the beach across the street. I would not stay there again.

Hotel needs updating

Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: See above
We have traveled to the U.S over twenty times now so know what to expect from a hotel room. This was not what we expected. First, the good - location - directly opposite the beach and overlooking the waterway behind the hotel. We had a 3rd floor waterway view which is the better of the views, as the beach view at the front has a busy road in front of it. Free coffee in the second floor communal area. The bad - carpets in the rooms and corridors are filthy. We wouldn't walk on them barefoot. The cleanliness of the rooms - soap was not replaced, cups were not replaced, ice bucket not emptied, patio windows were not cleaned (same smears on day 8 as day 1), beds were not made properly and the bath was not cleaned for our whole 8 day stay (dead fly round the edge from day one). The worst thing of all though was the noise. The slams of the other guests doors and the constant noise from the room across from us was unbearable. Morning, day and night. We complained about the guests in there and it looks as though they were moved. But to our amazement, the hotel put another large family in the room making equally, if not more noise. The walls are paper thin. The hotel staff were not polite nor helpful. We started our stay in room 201. Do not ever accept this room. Right by the noisy lift/elevator and the communal eating area. There was some type of party going on in there when we arrived which was not good after 17 hours of traveling. The room staff also, were not polite. Don't stay.

Nice hotel across from the beach & on Intercoastal

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: The room was a good size, had a balcony with an ocean view, was clean & well decorated; a refrigerator, microwave & room safe.
Location: Near St. John's Pass & many restaurants along the beach strip. Primarily in area to visit Family so not any sightseeing.
The hotel was a surprise! It was in a good location & had all the amenities you would expect in a more expensive hotel. For example, a heated pool, exercise room, internet & an area to read, watch TV, etc. The Staff was friendly & helpful about restaurants & the surrounding area.
