Internet was a dinosaurPosted Mar 21, 2015
This hotel is nothing fancy. It was on the highway that goes to Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Pete. You need to have a car, bc there is no shuttle service. The room was clean, small, nothing special- literally shampoo and soap only! The windows did not open, no view, no porch or anywhere pleasing to hang out. They provided a room fridge and microwave. The breakfast looked unappealing. The internet basically did NOT work. I even spent time with the IT guy, but it was a dinosaur.

Metzger Family home buying trip to St. PetePosted Mar 19, 2015
Cons: The service, room, food and price were all great.
Location: Location was right next to I-275 and three blocks from US 19. You're no more than 20 minutes from everywhere.
Excellent. Have stayed in several hundred hotel/motels in my llfe. This rates at the top.of any facility I've ever stayed at. It was reasonably priced, excellently located and it's one top quality hotel. Staff was very friendly, room was excellent, hotel is in excellent condition and breakfasts were good with a wide variety if choices. We're going back to St. Pete in a month or so and will be staying there. I can't say enough good things about it.

Beautiful Ocean/Pool View From Room BalconyPosted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: Very friendly and attentive staff, comfortable beds/pillows & lots for the kids to do via playroom, movie theater, The Lazy River and a beautiful view
Cons: Towels could be softer & not smell so industrial. A free continental breakfast ( bagels, muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, tea) would be a welcomed.
Location: Hotel was on the beach but too cold to go into the water. Tourist shops, restaurants but most closed as it was not "season".
Stayed for 4 nights during a very cold spell in Virginia Beach. Hotel overall cozy, room & hotel clean. All hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Tonka the turtle had a birthday and all got to celebrate with him and Tink the turtle. My daughter & her friend enjoyed the kids playroom & the staff in the playroom were wonderful! They cheered on the girls as they went to their gymnastics competition & the girls were eager to get back to play! The Lazy River was a treat since it was so cold outside. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean & we did go out onto the balcony despite the 20 degree, windy weather. The bed & pillows were very comfortable & we all slept like babies :). Great place to stay.

Disappointed touristPosted Feb 28, 2015
Cons: Cleaner bathroom. Put TV guide onto the television so the guests can see what will be on the channels as there was not much else to do there.
Location: Close to highway 275 which was handy for travel. Cracker Barrel close by but nothing else that we could see.
We decided to take a side trip for a week as we had been staying in Fort Myers. We stayed in several hotels and this Comfort Inn was the most expensive and the most disappointing. We would not stay there again. We have stayed in other Comfort Inns much nicer than this one.

loved the location and easy access to Tampa.Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Proximity and easy access to going back and forth to Tampa. One-access door is a plus since I was concerned about security.
Cons: I had difficulty asking for another towel from a worker on the floor. No English evidently! She finally understand what I was asking, but it took a
Location: good easy access to Tampa.
i was there for the Gasparilla run on Saturday. Good, easy travel back and to - to the Convention Center. Staff were nice. I would have liked a later check out on Sunday, but after paying $28 additional, I still only got a 2pm check out time. My brother lived within 15 min of the hotel, so the location was great for me. He picked it out for me. Everything was easy and simple, I loved the one-access door for security! I felt safe.

NoisyPosted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: staff very nice, esp the breakfast lady
Cons: Noise, noise, noise
Location: convenient to airport and to St Petersburg for the museums, which was the purpose of our trip.
We were on the highway side of the hotel and between the loud noise of traffic and the loud air conditioner, it was very difficult to sleep. I would only recommend if you have a room on the other side of the hotel.

Pros: Price and Location. Very clean and the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Clean new hotel with breakfestPosted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, very nice staff, and great breakfast make this hotel stand out as a fantastic value.
Cons: The only improvement would be a smoking area so guests weren't milling around the parking lot.
Location: Hotel is on the good side of the highway and right across from a Cracker Barrel. Smack in the middle of the county but 5 miles to anything. Walk East.
A great place to stay a day or two. Clean lot, lobby, and room. Very comfortable and staff looking to go the extra mile like an expensive resort. Likely best within 15-20 miles or more. Convenient to highway but ask for room on the other side if you want a quiet view of oak trees and nice neighborhood.
