Business Teavel

Ro was small but clean. No extra wall sockets to plug electronis for changeing. Shower was tiny. I was on third floor, temperature adjustments were delayed 30 to 45 seconds with very poor water pressure.

Mediocre at best

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Very pretty porch area and reception room. Bedroom was ok, although the bathroom was very small and leaked water from the shower all over the floor (it was a bathtub shower which required curtains 360 degrees). Problems: they billed me 3 times, which was a complete hassle to fix. Each room has a window above the door. Above our door was a bright light shining all the way into the bedroom 24 hours a day! Very difficult to sleep because the room was illuminated! The breakfast was not very good - the food was plastic-y and all utensils, plates, cups etc. were disposable.

Don't Go!

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: The lobby was nice, the breakfast provided was decent and the location is good, but the experience reminded me of my college dorm.
We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs, to our room. The bathroom was so small, I had to sit on the toilet to brush my teeth....the shower stall was barely big enough to wash my hair in without hitting my elbows on the sides. The carpet was stained, the headboard was beaten up, the windows were old and not double pane, so we heard people coming to get their cars in the lot outside our room until 2 am..singing and yelling, and then at 4 am, someone on our floor got up and started yelling about someone coming to pick him up, ran down 3 flights of stairs and then back up because he needed a lighter. We called to borrow an iron- never heard back. We called about connecting to the free wifi and were told it was out on the 3rd floor. We originally booked 2 nights, but left after the first one because the experience was so bad.

I would go there again.

It was a unique, old classic hotel. Unfortunately they were renovating everything at the time of our stay. Painting, wall paper, outside planting, windows, etc. it's going to be beautiful when their done. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Walking distance to many desirable places.

stately hotel in the middle of town

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: the atmosphere
Cons: better eggs in the morning
Location: like I said earlier right in the middle of town near just about everything, short drive to Dali museum.
the Pier Hotel is a stately old hotel, beautiful with all the touches of what life was like back in a gentler time. The staff is very nice and helpful, the location is great, right in the middle of town and within walking distance of many nice shops and good restaurants. The only thing I did not like was that our celling fan was a little loud, so we turned it off and turned the air a little cooler. Nice stay.
