Courtyard by Mariott in St. PetersburgPosted Sep 3, 2011 on Hotels.com
Beautiful hotel and they provided a free, full breakfast. There was no Internet in the rooms, but it was available in the bar and lobby. The only downfall was that they weren't located very close to restaurants so we had to get a taxi or eat in the hotel which offered a very limited menu selection. Also the service in the bar was poor.

First thing is they do NOT have internet at room, you can get from hotel by paying tons of money. Hotel does NOT have swimming pool ! Restaurant is so EXPENSIVE!

Courtyard by Marriott St Petersburg VasilievskyPosted May 8, 2011 on Hotels.com
I was in town for several days for business. This was a very comfortable Hotel. It had everything I needed except wireless internet in the room. The restaurant was a little pricey but there are restaurants in the area within walking distance. Most of the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful with the exception of one of the managers in the restaurant. His non-service attitude was a definite negative but that was him and not anything with the hotel other than SERVICE being the watchword in the Hotel Industry.

St Petersburg MarriotPosted Jun 23, 2010 on Hotels.com
We arrived 3 hours before check in on a Sat after a very long trip and they were so curtious to check us in upon our arrival. Explained everything to us in English or Russian. Excellent service, clean rooms, conseierge was amazing! We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked great. The bar was not busy and a little small, but there's so much to do in st pete we didn't care. Expect to take a taxi after 0030 when the subway closes and after 0200 the bridges that lead to the island the hotel is on are open, so it is not a quick or cheap ride late at night. Two thumbs up!

Great Room and ServicePosted Jul 24, 2009 on Hotels.com
The hotel was outstanding in every way with the exception of the close availability of mass transit. We arrived and left St. Petersburg via the train to and from Moscow. The Metro was about 6-8 blocks away and the bus wasn't any closer. We are "walkers" and that didn't bother us much except when we arrived and left with our bags and it was raining both times. The room was absolutely fantastic and when we asked for extra towels, they arrived almost immediately. The staff was very courteous and polite.

Nice place, but the location can be problematic for some.Posted Jul 8, 2009
Nice hotel, very comfortable. Nice sized rooms. However, the hotel is on an island across a river from downtown and the Hermitage. The underground is a 15-20 min walk. Taxis cost about $30 each way. Plus, the bridge goes up intermittently from 2-6 am, making it impossible to get back during those times. If you stay here, try to avoid an early morning flight out.

Nice hotelPosted May 1, 2009 on Hotels.com
Hotel was clean and comfortable. About 10-15 min walk from the metro, but it was right on the river with a nice view. Staff spoke English and there was a concierge to help with tours and finding a coffee shop for breakfast. We only spent one night there and checked in really late, so didn't get to see much of the hotel. Walked to the Hermitage from the hotel, although it was a fairly long walk.

Nice Hotel Amenities BUT....Posted Dec 3, 2008
Great NEW hotel on Vasilisky Island. So, taxis are still trying to find it. For the 1st 2 days the big bold sign on rooftop was not there, so cabbie got lost. NEW hotel had on beer and wine available at bar. Waiting for license. Not sure how that makes it a 5-star hotel. Every thing else is NEW. Staff is helpful. Being on the island, if you go across bridge to Nevski Prospect, be ready to wait until 4:30 am if you don't get back across drawbridge that closes at 1:25am. On a weeknight, that might be cold in Nov-Feb; real cold.
