“Central and Comforatable”
You can't beat the location for this hotel. Half a block from St. Isaac's Cathedral, two blocks from the Admiralty, the Hermitage and Nevsky Prospekt with a bus stop half a block away. The hotel itself was very clean, with friendly reception and a round the clock security guard. My room was decently sized with all everything I needed. My only two complaints that the windows opened into an interior lobby which got noisy at times. Also the room was pretty warm even in the cool November weather, most likely because of the lack of exterior windows.
“Historic St Petersburg close to major attractions”
Location is central and very close to main shopping district and to the Hermitage. A few nice restaurants were also quite close by. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and warm ( even had heated bathroom floors) which is a plus for Russia's cold weather. Only thing off was that you had to pay for even basic TV and not only movies. Not a major issue as we did not spend much time in the room. Hotel concierge was very helpful in calling cabs to an from the airport. Also, they were able to send me a host letter so as to get a Russian visa ( make sure you secure the visa ahead of time before your trip) Would recommend it to friends
“Enjoyable Stay”
Petro Palace Hotel is (I think) only about 6 years old, but the rooms are decorated in a very classic style. The staff at the hotel are almost all bi-lingual, which was great. They are all friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, one of the biggest I have seen! And the bathroom was also huge, with a heated floor, plenty of towels and the usual amenities. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it had all the usual choices (cereals, pastries, yogurt, fruit etc.) You could also order omelettes or bacon and eggs. The Lobby Bar, Sky Bar, and business centre have free wi-fi, or you can pay for wi-fi in your room. Our room had a balcony so we had a lovely view of St. Isaacs Cathedral. If we were to return to Saint Petersburg I would not hesitate to stay at the Petro Palce again.
“This is great deal Hotel vs Money!!!”
this is very well located hotel and very closed to most interesting venues
“Last Minute Charge Annoying”
It was pleasant enough and located just a 5 minute walk from the Hermitage, right near Nevsky Prospect. Elevator service is the pits.Upon checking out we were hit with a previously unannounced, and unexpected 'Passport registration' fee of 300 rubles. Its not the money (only $10 USD) but the way it was handled. This was the only hotel in Russia that imposed this fee.
“stay here!”
I can't say enough about the quality of the staff at this hotel. They are 5 star because they truly try and care about their guests.
“Great location”
Although the hotel was pricey, the location was worth it. More on the old fashioned side and two blocks from Nevsky prospect, it had charm and without the noise of a main street. St. Issacs, city tours, and Hermitage were an easy walk. Their Sky Bar was not much with a view mostly of roofs and hot. Ordered sandwiches and they came prepackaged. Employees were nice, spoke English for the most part. We would stay there again mainly for the location.
“great location”
great spot close to everything important in St. P
“Perfect Location”

“Excellent hotel”
