Poor check-in but pleasant apartmentPosted May 29, 2014
Pros: Large rooms.
Cons: Check in process, bathroom shower could do with re-sealing.
Location: Apartment close to the station, but took a little while to find even with instructions. Close to all the main attractions.
The check in experience was poor. We checked in at the train station as it was close to the apartment. We had to stand outside in the rain, whilst we were checked in from a little booth. It would have been nice if we could have done it under some cover. The apartment has a small but ample kitchen, huge living room with a pool table (with damaged cues) and two large bedrooms. Compared to the price of hotels in the area, this was good value for a large apartment in the centre of town.
InconvenientPosted Aug 7, 2013
The check in office was far from the flat, an there is a 500 ruble fee to meet you with the key at the apartment. No Internet in the flat, window wouldn't open and there was no AC for a hot summer day. Towels were very old. These things are tolerable on a budget but had I known I would've paid more for more comfortable accommodation.

False address provided, very disappointedPosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
I need to issue a warning about STN apartments in St Petersburg. I went there on a business trip from Moscow last week, taking the train, arriving at 9 pm. I booked using the hotels.com app around 5 pm. I chose STN apartments because of its good location on Pushkinskaya Street 8. After I'd booked, a woman called me saying "the key needs to be picked up at 9 pm latest". I was surprised as I thought it'd be an apartment hotel, not an apartment. I managed to find a friend who picked up the key for me, together with a one-page instruction/map. It turned out the apartment was not located at Pushkinskaya Street 8, although the email confirmation from hotels.com clearly stated the address as being STN apartments at Pushkinskaya Street 8, but rather a street further away from Nevskiy prospekt (the main street in Petersburg). The instruction said there would be a "parade entrance", which instead turned out to be a run-down wooden door, no description, leading into a building with building material lying around, dirty and non-inviting (and I'm saying this being used to Soviet-standard housing ). The apartment itself was acceptable, but I chose it based on the false location given by the app. Adding to the inconvenience, the key had to be returned to a completely different address the next day (not Pushkinskaya Street 8) but rather an address half an hour away. Extremely disappointed, very big hassle.

Depends what you're looking forPosted Feb 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
I went with my son and husband so this suited our needs. It was huge! Very clean. It was very hard to find so a little stressful on arrival. In all it was fine and I couldn't advise against it. Very different to a hotel experience though! In walking distance to what you need too .

Great Apartment near the CenterPosted Apr 9, 2012 on Hotels.com
This was a one bedroom apartment, it had a full kitchen with an oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it served its purpose. There was a combination shower/hot tub in the bathroom. There is no free internet, you can get a 4G USB modem for a daily fee from the hotel office if you choose. This apartment is actually on Vosstaniya and Nekrasova, not on Pushkinskaya. And you have to first go the the Main Office at 66 Nevskiy Prospect(the corner of Nevskiy and Fontanka) I would use this Apartment Company again, and I recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay
