“Want to take my friends there!”

Beautiful resort. Quiet, clean. Very relaxing vacation. Beach and waves outstanding. Safe. Best location I have ever been to. Enjoyed traveling around the island and felt very safe doing so. Barbadians were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel very much at home. Able to do some of our own cooking in a very well equipped kitchen. Own washer and dryer so did not need to bring a lot of luggage, so travelled light. Weather was exceptional at 30 or above each day. Ocean breezes kept us comfortable.

“Wonderful and Relaxing”

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms look exactly like the pictures. The next time I go I will definitely like to spend more time. We didnt even have the opportunity to see the entire resort. Excellent!!!

“Planning our next stay!!!!”

We had an amazing time at The Crane! We were hesitant to book here after some of the air conditioning complaints but I'm glad we ignored those because we would have missed out on an experience of a lifetime!!! The Crane is a little secluded but this makes the experience - beautiful resort, gorgeous beach, and exceptional staff. We will definitely be back! The restaurants are pricey but comparable to other places on the island. We went to the grocery store and used our full kitchen in the room. I would recommend renting a car to explore the island. Barbados and The Crane were beyond my expectations and I was sad to have to leave!!

“Most beautiful resort”

I had the most enjoyable stay at The Crane. The room, which is actually a suite was as nice or nicer than most people's condominiums. The view from the room was breathtaking. I was extremely pleased that I elected for the nominal upgrade of an ocean view room. The sound of the waves crashing in at night was very soothing to me. I haven't slept that well in ages. I have traveled to many beautiful places in the caribean and Hawaii. The views from the Crane were as neautiful as I've ever seen. The Crane is a very peaceful resort. It does not seem to attract the loud, obnoxious sort of people I've found at almost all of the previous resorts I've been to. All the guests were extremely nice and respectful of your privacy. The boogie boarding is very fun and the beach is absolutely gorgeous. I would definitelt return to the Crane if I were to return to Barbados.

“Absolutely gorgeous!”

My husband and I went for our 25th anniversary and my 50th birthday. What a wonderful experience. It was one of the beautiful places we ever stayed. The pools and beach are fabulous. The restaurant L'Azure was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there, and the gospel Sunday brunch.

“Beauty of The Crane is overwhelming!”

The Crane is truly an amazing hotel! Up on a high cliff overlooking the ocean, The Crane is the most beautiful resort I have ever stayed at. The rooms are "apartment sytle" comprised of a full kitchen, living room, eating area, 2 bathrooms and bedroom. The oceanview rooms are stunning....the view of the ocean and large, meandering pool is spectacular! The service is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. You get the feeling you are truly a valued guest at The Crane. The beach is pink sand and absolutely georgeous. There are no stones, just fine sand. Water is a little rough, but this allows for great boogie boarding and body surfing. We ate at 2 of the 3 resort restaurants and were very happy with the choices of food and quality. L'Azure has a little of something to offer everyone; chicken, seafood, fish, pasta or beef. Zen is Thai and Japanese with an excellent sushi bar and tasty curries. The Crane is somewhat remote, so if relaxation is the basis of your holiday, it is perfect. We toured the island via the jeep safari and boating trip; both were excellent and had pick up directly from the hotel. There is much construction at The Crane presently as they are expanding it to add restaurants, grocery, jazz bar and residences. I hope these additions do not cause The Crane to loose it's luster. I highly recommend this resort! I will definately return.

“The Crane is heavenly, but not perfect...”

My title to this review certainly conflicts, but let me tell you about The Crane. This was my second stay, so I was not overly concerned about the bad reviews. Here's the good, I mean awesome, because what's good about The Crane blows away all others. Good: The furnishings and over all look of the room is beautiful, spacious, well appointed. I even splurged for the plunge pool and loved it. I got one of the corner rooms so my plunge pool was hexagon shaped and I felt like Cleopatra. The kitchen is clean, has everything you need, cute. The beach is stunning. Probably my favorite in the World and I've been everywhere. The food in the restaurants is good and fresh. Bad: The other reviews were correct, the AC doesn't work, HOWEVER, the trade winds blow hard and kept our room so comfortable (with every window open) that I never complained. The gardens and overall appearance could be better maintained. It is such a beautiful place that I'm disappointed that The Crane spends so much money on expansion with less attention to the beauty they have. Also, the attitude and overall service is not what I'm used to in other parts of the World or even Carribean Islands. I'm used to more pleasant and attentive service. It wasn't awful, they just don't care. I'm not looking for friends though, so whatever, not a big deal. Overall: It's a paradise and I'll be back. The good far outweighs the bad.
