Best staff we have ever had!

Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: The units are spread out, so you're not in as much of a box.
Cons: The health inspector was making a stink over no smoking, ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. We passed on other locales, because of this. Keep it in mind USVI
Location: Small beach, but much better than most of the local beaches.
Asked for some extra coffee packs, and got 2 handfuls! Without any of the standard groans, that we have received at other locales.

Pros: The door to door shuttle service on the property and off !
Cons: current renovations should not be going on with guests visiting, closed restaurant on premises, only one open. Housekeeping only came once in 3 days.
Location: The resort is about a mile from Red Hook. In Red Hook there are many cool places to eat and the best beach ( Coki point ) is close.
Since making my reservation by Expedia and arriving ... There sort had undergone a management change. This I didn't know. However they made things easy and the door to door shuttle service defintely made my stay pleasant. Because my reservation was under the previous management there was no working phone in my room. I had to use my cellphone yo even call the front desk. I would stay at this resort again but after they finish their renovations. Bad thing is the new management informed me that rooms are now privately owed condos ( that people rent )

Nice place, Quiet

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Had a hard time turning TV on and off, The remote needed replaced but we rarely used the TV. Not enough towels but we could have easily asked for more
Location: Redhook is a 5 min drive, Access to several drives are 5 min away are down the walking paths.
Nice place, excellent new staff, quiet, not busy at all which was perfect, plenty of walking paths, 2 pools and you can also access pools and public facilities next door. Restaurants is right on the water, access to the bay. BEST VIEW IN TOWN!! Free Snorkel rental, Free Kayaks tour during group activity. We Kayaked during a group activity and was guided by one of the activity directors. Brought snorkels with us and snorkeled for awhile on a different beach we kayaked too. Free Yoga classes by the pool in the morning almost every morning. Room was perfect with a direct view of the bay and Sea.

Neverending Winter Getaway

Posted Mar 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Point Pleasant was a great place to stay on the east end of St Thomas. 3 pools made up for the lack of any nice beach close by (2 beaches in walking distance but not well maintained). But the units are built right on the cliff so they all give you ocean views & the feel of the Caribbean. Pleasant staff & helpful activity planner as well as a good bar/restaurant (Pangas) made this a great getaway!

Self Structured Resort

Posted Feb 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Point Pleasant. The location on the NE side of the island looks out over Water Bay with the Island of St. John in the background was wonderful. This resort is comprised of private condos mostly in smaller buildings of 4-6 units. The units are equipped as small apartments with a kitchen. The buildings are connected by paths and a windy steep driveway/road. If you don’t rent a car be prepared to use the hotel jitney or walk a lot of hills to get to the registration office. There are few on-site organized activities. There are three pools and small beach connected by the trails. The beach is separated by rocky outcrops. We wanted a self-structured quiet vacation. This facility provided that. If we had been traveling with children that needed lots of things to stay entertained with this resort wouldn’t have been very good for us. We did not rent a car so we used taxies to get places. There are two restaurants on the resort site but one has been closed for some time for renovations. The one open restaurant is right on the edge of the bay. The food is high quality and the service is good. The only drawback is that this restaurant is not open for breakfast so you need to leave the resort, or buy food to prepare in your room to have breakfast. There is a sailing charter service called Morningstar that operates from the resort which provides day trips to St. John. We took that trip one day and had a wonderful time.

impressive

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: awesome views clean, comfortable
Cons: safe included, cost $4 per day, really?
Location: everything to do, eat, drink, sail, ferry (car or not) swim, snorkel, shop, site see, ditto!
4 sliding glass doors overlooking the ocean, wow. small but nice kitchen and bathroom nice tile and granite, small but sweet beach, great bar restaurant right on the water. Not grand in size but junior suite was so perfect for us (2) we did have a car so we didn't have to walk the hilly property unless we felt like wandering the nature trails, gazebo or any of the 3 pools. Unit had many amenities vcr, with a bunch of movies, books, cd player and a couple cd's. Shopped at kmart for some food, brought coffee along should have brought powdered creamer $5- for one hazelnut . will stay here again, clean comfortable. the whole island is hilly so the property is just like the island. Good location close to Red Hook, Charlette Amalie just a bit farther.

Beautiful views, relaxed comfort

Quite enjoyed our stay at Point Pleasant. Rooms were private, with gorgeous balconies overlooking the bay. Well-stocked kitchen facilities, comfy couch, and three massive sliding glass doors provided a lovely ambiance. Free snorkeling gear, and help with reservations, sailing, cruises, etc at the activities desk. I'd highly recommend.

Great view and great location

Posted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Location and view
Cons: Could be updated
Location: Good restaurants and very close to ferry to St. Johns and Coki Beach. Lots of snorkeling.
More like a condo than a hotel room but it had a great view and was close to Redhook where the ferry to St. John leaves. Have your own balcony and can walk to Coki Beach. Had a great time.
