Very nice resort!

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Positives - great location, fantastic views, beautiful beaches, large resort with lots of open land, wild animals (donkeys, deer, etc), many 'free' amenities (included in cost of stay), very good food (including a good coffee / gelato place) walking distance to ZoZo's (great dinner!), friendly staff (for the most part, there were a couple bad apples). Not cheap at all, but is very nice and would recommend. Opportunities - it's missing some type of evening / night entertainment.

Caneel Bay Resort is the most amazing place I have ever stayed. I have visited four times so far, and am now planning my next trip. Everything about this place is true paradise. Go now!

Relaxing Vacation

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: The rooms fit in with the beaches and the surrounding park so well that you don't feel like you are at a resort when you are there.
Location: Relaxing at the beaches, snorkeling, sunfish sail boating, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, and exploring the island by jeep.
Caneel Bay is a luxury resort where you can get away from tv, phones, etc. and just relax in Caribbean beauty. The rooms, restaurants, staff and grounds all add to the overall sense of total relaxation. The beaches and watersports activities are great. The addition of Gelato in the gift shop makes the resort even better. Definitely planning on going back.

Secluded resort with lots of open space

Quiet and relaxing resort on St. John. Lots of opens space between small clusters of rooms. Multiple beaches that never felt busy. Just expect to pay top dollar for this experience.

Right on the beach!

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Location, and friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Would be nice to add some type of dancing opportunities (dances or lessons) added to the list of activities.
The place to stay in St. John! Don't make a mistake and stay somewhere else. Beautiful place, wonderful clear beaches, and the entire staff were very friendly and helpful. Take time for several excursions, you won't regret it!

So wonderful and so relaxing!

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Small rooms even for a couple but very comfortable with the patio.
Cons: Would love to bring the family. Policy with only 3 people to a room is out of date. Most families have at least two children.
Location: Hop the Taxi - $5.00 into Cruz Bay or Mongoose Junction and we traveled there quite a few time. Enjoyed the Sunset Cruise - so beautiful!
Quite expensive however the seven beaches are just fabulous! Breakfast is a delight - wish the Caneel Bay Resort would consider "all - inclusive!" Food is so pricey and difficult to obtain. Drinks are especially way over priced!

Heaven

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Keep it the way it is
Location: Lucys is a must go!
Everything was amazing. The food at the restaurants on the grounds was phenomenal. You must have the lobster castle (not real name, but it looks like a round castle made from lobster, rice, etc..) The rooms themselves are amazing and the grounds are beautiful with deer, donkeys, and mongoose everywhere. Its is the perfect balance of nature and comfort. I got a little overzealous with the rum in the sun and the staff helped me to my room.

Beautiful rooms, excellent views and friendly staff. Would highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed it all - snorkeling, hiking, sunset cocktails on the deck all were fantastic! Can't wait to go back.
