“Wonderful!”
Luv the room space and private location. I will come back to this resort because I need to go back to the private beach for long walks.
“A Tropical Paradise”
After checking in we were taken to a room at Sapphire Beach, being told we were upgraded from Crystal Cove, where our original reservation was made. The room was beautiful, the view incredible, th staff was very helpful....we could not have been happier. While visiting the island we got engaged. We would absolutely consider returning to Sapphire Beach to be married. During our stay we witnessed 3 weddings and they magnified a fairytale ceremony. We cannot wait to return to the Virgin Islands.
“Comfortable, laid back”
Crystal Cove was very accommodating and comfortable. We felt "at home" and truly enjoyed our vacation and accommodations. The beach was beautiful and people were very friendly. It would be a place that I would return and bring my extended family to.
“Very Pleasantly Surprized”
Our room was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The idea that we went snorkeling, (we rented gear from the dive both on grounds,) right outside our door still floors me. Snack food was available on grounds and a small but stocked market was a 2 minute drive away.
“WONDERFUL VACATION”
I can not say enough about this place. It was convienent to everything. All of our excursions left out of the Marina, which we walked to. The room was great, decorated beautifully, very carribbean looking. We had an ocean view room which was right on the beach. We just walked out on the balcony and could see St. John, sunrises and the beautiful water. You could snorkel at the hotel. We actually paid for a snorkel excursion, and on the last day we were there we snorkled at the hotel, and it was 10 times better than the snorkel areas we paid for, and the hotel rented the snorkel equipment and it was free to snorkel, wish we had of snorkeled there everyday. There was more coral, and fish than the places we sailed to. The only draw back was that they service the rooms every other day, however if you needed extra towels, you just walked to the office and picked up more. We would go back and stay in the same place again and again. It was fabulous. We highly recommend it. I even told my husband when we were there, that I wasn't sure where the people stayed that gave it bad reviews, but it wasn't where we stayed. It was not a 5 star hotel, but it was inexpensive and very very nice. Right up our alley....check it out for yourself...Love, Love, Love it...can't wait to go back
“Can't wait to go back,”
The location is fantastic right on the beach we love St. Thomas, and the hotel is close do ferry boat to St. John the studio is large and has every thing if you want to feel living there.
“Had a great time here. Can't wait to go back!”
This is a first time to St Thomas, so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the hotel and room. Everything was well kept that we could see. Definitely would go back.
“Mixed review”
The room was not ready even though we arrived well after check in time. When we finally did check in (an hour later) we had great service and help getting to and getting situated in our room. The appliances worked well for the first two days, but the coffee maker quit after then. The outlets in the bathrooms were scary looking so I wouldn't recommend plugging anything into them. Our power went out for an hour one day. The layout of the room was great, and so was the layout of the complex. It was about 2 minutes off the beach, which is nice if you are a light sleeper. The beach was nice and you could snorkel right there. There were a lot of people selling stuff, though. They seemed to forget they just asked you if you wanted something. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
“Very good value”
Room listed as "studio" was really a well-equipped one-bedroom condo. Nice view over pond to ocean/beach/trees. Excellent beach for swim & snorkeling. Confusing maid service... every-other-day plus Sunday, but plenty of towels and they washed the dishes. Temperature with AC was just right, plus a fan in bedroom. Nice tile floor, two clean bathrooms, lots of kitchen equipment. Jalousie windows on balcony spoiled the view a bit; they were ugly. No maintenance problems except the ceiling damage. Resort is very convenient to Red Hook, not so convenient to front desk (best to walk via the beach). No one mentioned that you MUST CHECK IN AT SAPPHIRE BEACH RESORT, and that the entrances to condos are oceanside, not from the parking lot. Arrive after dark and you flounder a bit figuring this out.
“Can't wait to go back”
The unit was clean, and provided nearly everything needed. There was always plenty of fresh towels, they changed the sheets every other day and cleaned. The kitchen could have had a decent frying pan, other than that it had all I needed. My one complaint was the bed. I don't go to the Islands for luxury - I go to be at the beach, but a decent bed is important and it was really old and worn out.
