Friendly place to stay close to the beachPosted Jul 19, 2013
Pros: It was up off of the main road and somewhat secluded, so it was very peaceful. The view of the ocean was breathtaking and we felt safe and cared for.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of!
Location: It was close to shopping areas as well as the beach. We rented a car, but there are plenty of activities you would be able to walk to.
Paradise Cove Cottages was a great experience for my husband and I from the moment we arrived. We stayed in the cabana, which was cozy and just right for our needs. The cottages were within walking distance to the Red Hook shopping area and also Secret Harbor, where there is a lovely beach and outdoor restaurant. The manager, Marilyn, was awesome...always friendly and checking in with us to make sure we didn't need anything. All staff were helpful and courteous...we felt very comfortable and would definitely stay again!

Great hotel to enjoy St. ThomasPosted May 29, 2013
Pros: Friendliness of the staff and manager.
Location: On a ridge that overlooks the bay, great views, walking distance of food and beaches, five minutes from Red Hook and all of their food/stores.
Excellent view of the bay, easy walk to a sandy beach and restaurants on the beach, extremely friendly staff and manager. Makes you feel like you are staying with family.

Danielle went above and beyondPosted May 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
When we checked in Danielle enthusiastically showed us room IBM cabana. Felt had pool all to ourselves. Recommended restaurant, bar, and beach easily walkable. Without needing to, she arrived at work early to personally give us a ride to ferry. Her knowledge of the area, personal kindness helped start our holiday swimmingly. Thank you again

The good, the bad, and the UGLY!!Posted Apr 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The property manager, Danielle, needs a major attitude adjustment. It's shocking that she's in the hospitality agency. She previously worked on a boat and she needs to revert back to that job, as she was the only rude person we encountered on St. Thomas and St. John and is probably in the top 5 rudest people I've ever encountered. I've owned several businesses, sold real estate, and had multiple internships in my graduate studies, so I've encountered personalities of all types. Danielle's attitude is terrible. I will not return due to her attitude alone. Please see my trip advisor review titled, "The good, the bad, and the UGLY!!" for a more descriptive explanation to our experience. There are other cottages on the island that are just as nice and in the same price range. AVOID Paradise Cove.

Perfect weekend!Posted Apr 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our perfect weekend began here at Paradise Cove. We arrived way before check-in time and Danielle was able to accommodate us in a another room (a better room!) where we found everything we needed and more. This place isn't like a hotel, for us it was like coming home to a better view. This was a relief for us, since our last experience is St. Thomas was a in huge hotel with bad service and very unclean. Paradise Cove's location was great, close to restaurants in Red Hook (our favorite area), the ferry and to Secret Harbor Beach. We are grateful to Paradise Cove for making this a great experience with us.

Great view and close to beach and townPosted Mar 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Cottage was very nice. You could tell some updates had been made recently. Only a few things could be touched up. The view was amazing and the location is close to the town of Red Hook which has a lot restaurants and you can do day sails or head over to St. John from there.

Paradise Cove ResortPosted Mar 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Over all-good. The kitchen equipment needs an update-several pans were in bad shape-rusty.The mattress needs replacing. The view from the deck was fabulous! (HIdden Harbor) The area was quiet and peaceful. Close to Red Hook , groceries and entertainment-we enjoyed the music and food at latitude 18.

Not exactly what we expectedPosted Mar 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed in the "Cabana" room, which (more or less as advertised) is a converted pool house. Our initial impression, at the end of a long day of travel, was rather negative -- this was based primarily on a number of advertised features which did not exist in reality. "Settle onto the Tempur-Pedic bed with premium bedding and cotton linens for a good night's rest" means "whatever mattress we had, it certainly was NOT Tempur-Pedic nor particularly high-end but seemed serviceable. My wife took a look at the cover and it spent the rest of the stay on the floor in the corner." The claimed internet access did not exist. The "32-inch plasma television" was a 20-something-inch tube TV -- but we weren't there to watch television. There is no free shuttle service to Red Hook -- the first thing Danielle gave us was the local cabbie's phone number. Ultimately, the location, view and price overcame our initial disappointment and we left reasonably satisfied. My wife called the Cabana "rustic", which sums it up pretty well: if you're looking for polish, fit and finish, this room probably won't make you happy, but if you're looking for a base of operations near Red Hook/Secret Harbour that lets you sleep, eat, shower, with a memorable view, this was a great find. I probably would have given it an extra star if it hadn't been so overhyped in the listing, but ironically we likely wouldn't have chosen it if the listing had been accurate.

Scenic, peaceful, convenient!Posted Feb 20, 2013
Pleasant, private, serene. A brief walk to a beautiful beach and an excellent restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff. If you want fireworks and loud music during the night, this is not the place for you.
