This St. Thomas resort is a half mile from Coral World Ocean Park, 2 miles from Red Hook and the ferry to St. John, and about six miles from the historic capital city of Charlotte Amalie, a shopper's paradise.
Bordered by a fragrant garden outside the Agave Restaurant, tall cocktail tables with oil lamps provide a romantic setting for pre- and post-dinner drinks. Neighboring islands and the sea are visible before dark, and the islands' lights twinkle at night.
The open-air lounge at the Point Pleasant Resort by Antilles Resorts boasts panoramic views and contains a TV, complimentary high-speed Internet connections for guests with laptop computers, and a small shop selling breakfast items, snacks, beer, and soda.
The hotel offers complimentary snorkeling equipment, tennis rackets and balls, and introductory scuba lessons.

Recreation
A nature trail leads down to small, secluded Sugar Beach. A 50-yard waterfront path provides access to the larger Pineapple Beach. Both offer soft sands, calm waters, and serene views. Three 55-foot-long pools bordered by wooden sundecks provide freshwater swimming at the resort's beachfront, middle, and hilltop levels. The middle-level sundeck features views of a green valley; other sundecks offer ocean views.
Use of snorkeling gear and kayaks is complimentary, as is an introductory scuba-diving lesson. A watersports center also arranges personal watercraft, parasailing, scuba diving, cruises, and day sails (surcharges).
The resort provides a map and booklet identifying trees, flowers, and tropical plants along the nature trail. A small fitness room is also on site.
The recreational activities listed below are available either at the Antilles Point Pleasant Resort; fees may apply.

“Enjoy the views and the swimming pools”
Unfortunately we were not informed that both restaurants on the premises were closed which caused inconvenience. Their website is not updated. The hotel provided shuttle service to the Sugar Bay resort next door to eat at their restaurant, but for everywhere else we had to use taxis. We paid for a superior suite but our first lodgings were unsatisfactory (poor maintenance, shower did not work, bathroom fan has a terrible whistle) but we were then moved to a unit we had stayed at in previous years which was very nice. But the move should not have been necessary. Overall we still like the place, but there should be food available on the resort property.
“"Most magnificient view"”
As a retired travel agent, I have visited most islands of the Caribbean - and Point Pleasant is my top pick for most scenic and romantic resort! The view from our spacious wraparound lanai was incredible and could also be seen from the bedroom. Living room, dining area and kitchen was supurb. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurants were closed during our Nov visit but we had a rental car so no problem and all pools were open. Only drawback to this resort is the lack of a property beach, but we swim at Magens Bay anyway and wouldn't stay anywhere else. We keep returning time after time and consider this our home away from home. If you want total relaxation, a most romantic experience, and a real taste of paradise - this is the place!
“Great room view, facilities, and staff.”
Great room view, facilities, and staff.
“Great Rooms, So So Beaches”
The rooms and the views at Point Pleasant are great. If you enjoy snorkeling then the beaches are good for reef access. However if your want long sandy stretches of beach, you won't find them here. On the plus side, you can walk ten feet into the water off of the small beaches and be in the middle of a school of tropical fish. All the food on St.Thomas is overpriced, the two restaurants at Point Pleasant are no exception. But with that in mind, both Fungi's (casual) and Agave Terrace (more formal) are good places to eat in St.Thomas. If you want to get anywhere else you had better rent a car or have a good budget for cab fare. It's easy to spend $40 a day in St.Thomas on cabs alone.
“Beautiful room with view- not the best family resort”
My family and I arrived on Sun. June 12 "11 and went to get a bite to eat at Fungis. After walking down a long steep walkway, we ordered sandwiches and I received mine 1 1/2 hours later. It was delicious but my family had already left. The power went out on the island several times in the five days we were there, but there were no generators for back-up. This resort is beautiful and on a cliff with an extraordinary view.... But it is very secluded and not very family friendly. I would reccomend this resort for couples who are very fit and can climb steep hills easily. Also, the young man at the activities desk was very helpful and gave us free use of snorkeling gear during our stay. If you have been exercising regulary, the grounds are beautiful and worth hiking around to view. The beach is very small and almost non- existant.
“good value for the money”
its the second time we stayed at Pt. Pleasant and had a great time. Although the phones didnt work in our room the entire stay the staff let us use either there cell phone or the front desk phone when we needed to make a call. They were very helpful. We would go back just for the million dollar view we had from out room. Koki beach is the beat beach on the island and its walking distance from Pt. Pleasant. The people there are great to mingle with and very friendly.
“nice for price”
Price was very good for a quick one night stay before catching a ferry to Tortula. Rooms werelarge but could have used a little TLC but that may be an individual owners decision instead of the resort itself. Staff at beachside bar/restaurant was very friendly with good food at Fungi's. Would go back for a short night or two before heading to other destinations.
“Family Fun in the Sun”
The Point Pleasant is perfect for a family stay. Having the full kitchen is fantastic and a huge money saver. Groceries are expensive in St. Thomas, but eating out is even more expensive. For a family of four plan on $50 to $100 for every meal if you are going to eat out. It's a bit of a hike to the resort's Sugar Beach, but it's a beautiful walk and we enjoyed it. Besides, we spent most of our beach time at the national park (just down the road) which was wonderful!!! There are two pools and the kayaks and snorkel gear are free at this hotel, which was AWESOME! Yes, the place is a little more dated than some of the fancier places around, but was clean and everything was in good working order. We would definatley recommend!!
“Great view, horrible room”
I stayed in until B-11 - the view was spectacular, but the room was in poor repair and grungy to boot.
“Not a beach destination. Get a rental car.”
The resort room was clean and well equipped. The exterior maintenance had a little to be desired. The surrounding hotels have been vacated leaving the local beaches a bit undesirable. The sailboat cruises are good. There was 1 nice restaurant and 1 with a bit too much attitude. Advice: rent a car and explore St. John and check out other areas.
