Cons: Too much money for today's product
Location: A short cab ride to most everything
Not near the sea, one mile from the harbor. A/ C didn't work in lobby no Internet. Driveway is long and in terrible condition. Nice owners, but can not recommend this property until lots of work is done. It is very clean and neat.

Quaint getawayPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Breakfast each morning was wonderful and the owners were very nice and accomodating.
Cons: Only suggestion would be curtains on the window in the room we stayed in.
Location: Secret harbour is a five minute walk away and the town of redhook is about 15 minutes. lots of great places to eat!
Cute little bed and breakfast, close enough to walk to secret harbour (my favorite beach). Breakfast each morning was delicious and Helen was a huge help with giving us ideas of where to go. Had a great time!

This is a little 4 bedroom B&B located near Red Hook. While there is no central a/c, each room has an in-room a/c unit allowing for comfortable sleeping conditions. The best part about our stay here was the homemade breakfast each morning by the owner. French pressed coffee, fresh juice, warm muffins and farm fresh eggs. Delicious! You will enjoy dining on their balcony overlooking the bay.

awesome honeymoon!Posted Jun 23, 2013
To put it simply . . . stop looking and book here. Unless you want something all inclusive this is the place to go. My husband and I spent our honeymoon here in June 2013. We had originally wanted to do all inclusive to make everything easy after the stress of planning a wedding, but I found this place and saw the other reviews and decided to risk it. It was worth it. It is on the opposite end of the island from the touristy bay with all the American restaurants and shops. So you definitely get the island vacation experience. But it is close (walking distance) to American Yacht Harbor with some shops, restaurants, and the ferry to the other islands. Jun and Helen were very helpful and friendly. We had a horrible flight there – arriving 2 hours late and after 12 hours of travel because of layovers, tired, and sweaty. But within 7 minutes of being there he had already given us a complimentary drink to make up for our day and many helpful tips regarding American Yacht Harbor, whether we should walk or take cabs certain places, and a few places he recommended to eat. The next morning and every morning after Helen made us an AMAZING breakfast and answered any questions we had regarding what to do that day. She recommended a few places to go on St. John’s that turned out to be the favorite parts of our trip. She makes different pastries from scratch every day for breakfast among other things and they are all delicious. Breakfast was our favorite meal every day. We stayed in two d

Was ok. But getting there was a trip in itself. Not on the beach or near the beach, be prepared to walk 10-15 mins to enjoy the beach. Not our style but comfortable enough. Breakfast was a nice treat.

Nice quiet B&BPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here on our way to St. John island. Wedding not want to rush from the airport to a ferry, so we had the owner pick us up ($40) at the airport. We hand a nice room, she gave us a great suggestion for dinner, nice breakfast and even a ride to the ferry the next day (because the taxi people were not answering the phone). We would recommend this route to everyone interested in a relaxing trip to the USVI.

You get what you pay forPosted Apr 29, 2013
Proprietor (male) was very unwelcoming, everything is a problem, 45 minutes late picking us up at airport, just doesnt need to be in the hospitality business. Wife was very nice and helpful however.

Inconvenient without a carPosted Apr 15, 2013
Pros: Breakfast view on the terrace, clean color palette, large bathroom.
Cons: Hard to find location, difficult to access without a car, no public bathroom, small breakfast, strict check-in & check-out attitude, thin walls.
Location: Located in a hilly residential neighborhood, the two story house is at the end of long dusty bumpy drive way with little landscaping.
Coming off a weeklong sailing trip, I needed a friendly place to stay before my flight the next day. The B&B seemed perfect as it promoted itself to be a convenient hotel for exploring local amenities by foot. In reality, the B&B is a house in a hilly neighborhood at the end of a long dirt road. While it is technically possible to walk to Secret Harbor Beach, you have to share the narrow roads with local traffic in steep walking conditions. While it was not difficult, it was not pleasant. The roads are unlit, walking alone at night is no fun so forget about getting dinner without a car. The owners are ex-professionals from Cali (Lawyer and Analyst). They run the hotel with a sense of rigidity and scarcity I find unusual for a B&B. I arrived at 2pm. While I was welcomed to stow my bags, I was also quickly given a towel and asked to hit the beach. No drinks were offered nor did I get the sense it was ok to stay in the living room area tho no one was around. Check out was similar at 11am. I had 1.5 hours before the flight. Again, Helen suggested I go to the beach and wait. I asked if I could stay on the terrace to work on my laptop. An awkward pause later she agreed. After a nice chat with Jun about hotel marketing, I needed to use bathroom before I left. To my shock I was told "They are already clean. You should have used it before you checked out.". I was sent on my way with a full bladder. Needless to say, I felt less like a guest and more like a pest!

Good and Bad but overall it was a good trip.Posted Apr 2, 2013
Pros: Sitting on the balcony eating a delicious breakfast
Cons: walking so far to get somwhere
Its a house with not that great of landscaping. a pothole filled drive leading into it. and power lines outside your balcony. traffic from daily commuters will wake you up at 6:00am. You need to be in shape if you want to go to town or the beach. Its a ten minute walk to the beach up hill then down. Pass some broken down cars on the way. 13 min walk to the town along a skinny road with some crazy drivers with no sidewalk half of the way. But once you get to the beach it is quite with not very many people. And its a nice clean beach. The town is a nice small carribean town with fun bars and shops. Ferry is in town to go to St Johns (recommended). Its a nice place and you can have fun or relax or both. Just don't get tricked into thinking that it is directly next to the water because it isn't.
