Great view, and very convenient

Posted May 16, 2014
Pros: Convenience, view, comfort, restaurants
Location: Very close to Yacht Haven Grand, and the waterfront of Charlotte Amalie and Magen's Bay beach
I had to go to work on St Thomas for the week. Bluebeards Castlewas lovely and comfortable, and very convenient for me. I was there alone, and I felt at ease. The restaurants serve great food and the pool and view are priceless. I highly recommend this hotel

Pros: The view
Cons: Cleaniness and also speak to front desk about courteous and helpful
Location: Nope
Staff was okay. The only thing is the staff is not very friendly and courteous to tourist. Not so helpful as far as given information of where to visit.

A great economical option

Pros: Concierge services were very helpful. They were able to give us all the info that we needed!!
Cons: Front desk staff could have been more friendly and warm. Hard to get a smile out of them.
We enjoyed staying at Bluebeard's, because the location was good (walking distance to attractions of Charlotte Amalie) and the amenities were many (pool, hot tub, restaurants on site)

The rooms were not as big and as clean as we expec

Posted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: The view is nice. Further, the suites in teh renovated part of the resort are nice (room numbers 300+).
Cons: The rooms in the older part of the resort needs to be improved or rented at a discount. It does not make any sense to pay teh same for these rooms.
Location: The location was convenient and close to center of the town. The view from our suites were not that great.
We rented two connecting suites. It happens that our suites were in the older part of resorts. The kitchen and rooms were much smaller than what we saw in the pictures. The sink in one of the bathrooms was leaking and it took two days to fix. The refrigerator stopped working and they had to replace it. The AC remote was not working and we had several light fixtures that were not working. We complained with the front desk about the conditions of the rooms but there was not real response to our complains. If you stay at this resort try to stay in the renovated part of the resorts. The room and kitchen is much bigger and cleaner.

Need to know

Posted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: Nice view. Room had a kitchenette, so we could buy some groceries for sandwiches, and cook eggs for breakfast. Eating out in St. Thomas is very $$
NIce property, but a few things to know; To avoid lots of stairs get a room on the 3rd or 4th floor. Sounds strange I know but because it sits on a hilltop, there are a lot of stairs to get to the 1st floor, as.everything slopes steeply away from office area (in all directions). They only clean rooms two days a week. Restaurants open at 5 pm (they have light fare at pool bar in daytime). The walk back and forth to town is really good for the cardio. (did I mention it's on a hill)?

Not A Hotel To stay There

Posted Jan 24, 2014
they have no two beds rooms, the roosters wake you up, and you have a lot of up and down staires to get to your room. the room was descent nothing special, and since we were two guys, one of us had sleep on the sofa bed....Not comfortable

Back to see the folks

Over all Bluebeard's was fine. My one area of concern is that it appears that hot water is unavailable before 7:00 am, which is not feasible for early risers or those catching an early morning flight.
