Beautiful viewPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: The owners are very helpful and accommodating. It is in a quiet residential area surrounded by beautiful scenery. T
Cons: I needed additional instruction on opening the bed.
Location: Be aware that there is nothing in the immediate area.
Th Marbella suites are very well kept. It has a beautiful view and is about a 5-10 minute walk to a beach downhill, which means the walk back is all uphill. The beach is at a time share community and has a bar/restaurant. The Marbella is a bit remote. Although I had written instructions on getting there, twice the taxi drivers were uncertain where it was. Once you have been to the Marbella. it becomes easier to tell the taxi drivers where it is - namely them the Blackbeard Beach Club (the above mentioned time share community). However, the owners, Leah and Gunnar did drive me if they were headed to the same place. Leah had recommended that I rent a car, which they help you with. This is the better solution to using taxis if you are willing to drive in St. Thomas. The Mango room is fine for one person. I would not recommend it for two people. Although I did not see the inside of the other rooms, they seemed much more spacious from the outside. The pool is small, but a great place to relax in the evening before it gets dark.

amazing!!!Posted Feb 25, 2015
It was a very quaint, small bed/breakfast type of hotel. Small and very quiet. Very safe. Very nice and clean. The rooms look exactly like the pictures in the website. The owners, Leah and Gunnar were fantastic and very attentive.

Beautiful Villa with ViewPosted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Everything! We stayed in the Mango Room and found it to be perfect for our honeymoon. Leah and Gunnar keep the place clean & are great people :)
Great place to stay while visiting St. Thomas! The villa provides a beautiful view from parts of the island with a private beach just a hike away. The hike is worth going on! The beach is gorgeous, and has a bar to quench your thirst. If you aren't much of a hiker, there is a pool on the upper deck with an amazing view. I would highly recommend renting a jeep while there. It may be intimating, but it is necessary. Leah and Gunnar are accommodating with any needs or questions that you may have. They really helped us out during our honeymoon.

Perfect stay in St ThomasPosted Jan 16, 2015
The stay at Villa Marbella was perfect. We stayed in Mango room that is the smallest one. The bed was very comfortable for two people, the room was perfectly clean and had everything that one might need: private bathroom, fridge, microwave, plates, cups, silverware, beach towels, beach bag, you name it. View from the swimming pool was terrific. Leah and Gunnar were perfect hosts. We also rented a car from them. A car is a must if you would like to explore St Thomas and St John at your own pace, I would not rely on public transport there. Overall, we could not be happier with our stay there and will likely come back again in the future.

we opted to not hire a car - staying just four days we'd maximize the mellow of this location... 15 minute walk to Breezes Bar & Grille @ Limetree Beach fit the bill just fine; Leah and Gunnar were often offering rides into town if we were up for it - catching a cab back was not difficult as everybody knew 'Bluebeards' and/or Limetree... all in all, a rather delightful escape into paradise ;>

Great Couples GetawayPosted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: Its nice having the stove if you're into saving money and doing a little cooking for yourself a couple of the days of your stay.
Location: St Thomas is a small island so you can pretty much be anywhere in 20-30 minutes. I would recommend bringing your snorkeling gear. You'll love it.
My wife and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We reserved the Cruzan apt. for a mid-November week stay. First off let me say that Gunnar and Leah are the perfect hosts. They are always there to help with anything you need, and unless you go looking for them, you won't even know they are around. They can help with setting day trips up to recommending which beaches or restaurants you should visit. Gunnar and Leah also rent cars, so it was just another added convenience for us. If you rent a car from them, they will pick you up and drop you off at the airport so no hassle in finding a way to the Villa. As previously stated, we stayed in the Cruzan apt. This was a perfect little place to stay while on vacation. The view from the front patio alone is something I really miss. Its the perfect size for two people. It has a little fridge and electric stove if you want to do some of your own cooking, but not set up for five course meal type of cooking. The rest is as you would expect. A bed, shower, and all the usual things you would expect. Although not right on the beach, it is only a five minute hike down to it. And if you're lucky like we were, have it all to yourself for a week. No crowds whatsoever! We really loved our stay at Villa Marbella. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary and we will always remember our time here.

First trip to the islandPosted Oct 30, 2014
Leah and Gunner were the best from easy rent a car process to clean rooms and a great view room the pool. Nothing against kids, however it was nice and quite and no kids taking over the pool.
