Nice hotel, close to restaurants, shopping

Went for a reunion near Quantico. The Marine Corps museum,the winery and friends were close and Washington D C was an easy trip. The hotel was perfectly located and the free breakfast was good.

Nice hotel

Pros: The area because there were several places to dine
My husband and I stayed for one night on May 2nd and the stay was great. However once returning home and having to check by checking account I realize I had been charge for the room which was previous pay before checking in. After notifying them of this concern I was told the matter who be resolved in a few days. Still waiting so I keep you posted.

Weekend away

Pros: The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean.
Cons: Maintaining the room's equipment and having someone there to assist the patrons would be nice.
Location: We had lots of shopping and good restaurants nearby
I searched on line for a nice place for a weekend get away with my daughters. I picked Wingate because they are normally so nice. Our room had no working telephone (which I mentioned to the front desk every day we were there and nothing was done), no working clock in the room (just a broken one) and the shower did not work properly as the water stream was split between the shower and the tub so the pressure was terrible to shower with. To make matters worse, the person working the front desk was in training and obviously overwhelmed. When she had trouble checking me in Friday night she had to keep calling a manager who was unable to help her. I'm not sure making a trainee handle all the pressures of running a hotel at night by herself was fair. This was a disappointing stay overall.

Multiple issues

A boiler was out and hot water unreliable. Jacuzzi wasn't working and no warning posted. Bathrooms were never swept in 4 night stay. Reservations were messed up twice. We had extremely good accommodations at two other hotels in the same trip

Close to Quantigo & Wash DC

Booked for three days, extended for three more. I enjoyed the buf.fet style breakfast everyday plus a variety of restaurants locally. Downside-- didn't find a local ice cream parlor.

The one night snow crusher

I had to find a room to stay due to weather conditions, and I was working near Wyndham hotel. So i ended up staying there. They were slammed for the same reason I went there, but they still managed to give a great service. I recommend them.

disappointed

The hotel amenities and continental breakfast were as expected. I was most disappointed in the condition of the hallway carpets and walls on 4th floor in route to our room, as well as the wall condition inside our room. The hall carpets were disgusting and severely stained looking with large stains our spills of white residue, dark spills, etc. It was evident of the lack of care and cleaning in the public hallway. Our room was basic, nothing special. The room and furniture were worn looking. The walls looked like they were patched or repaired but ugly white patches and plaster sections left on the walls, which the room was painted a yellow color with glaring white patches. It made me think what did I pay for, I've stayed at many better condition hotels for less money. I was disappointed and wouldn't choose this location again when I return to town. Luckily it was a short one night stay just to sleep.

Below average stay!!!!

3 missing light bulbs. 2 which were in the bathroom , bad batteries in remote, no ironing board, channel line up sheet was different then the actual tv line up. Breakfast was below average, no staff and the oatmeal was so thick the spoon was stuck to the bottom. The hot tub water was below the jets. The staff couldn't get us batteries or light bulbs until the maids came in at 8am. The room was clean but the room door hadnt been cleaned in a long long time and the bathroom door and door jam had yellow dots and runs all over it. However , the towels were nice.
