Excellent room, plenty of amenities, free parking, great food from room service, and a plentiful breakfast. Really no need to think twice about staying here. If you had to choose a hotel in this area, go with this one.

“A Refreshing Pit Stop”

I was in town to attend the wake and funeral of a close friend's wife in Greenwich, CT and found the Hampton Inn at Stamford was just what I needed as my "pit stop". Very convenient to I-95. Excellent, quiet room, nice complimentary breakfast, great Wi-fi, and even complimentary parking. What a deal! The staff was most helpful and not intrusive. I was also able to check in early after a long drive down from Troy, NY.

“Great stay for visiting NYC”

The breakfast offered a lot of choices. The hotel was very quiet because the hotel catered to business people during the week! The only down side is that the doors are very heavy and you could hear them closing, but there were not many people on our floor since our stay was over a long weekend, so that was not a real problem.

Great hotel if you don't want to stay in nyc. Really nice common area with fire place and food all day, friendly staff.

The hotel provides clean and comfortable rooms with complimentary wireless internet connection and breakfast. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The location is a bit industrial but only a couple blocks from downtown. Parking is free and the parking space abundant.

Stayed 3 nights. Tue night had complimentary wine and desserts. Wed night had complimentary wine and cheese. Amazing! Free breakfast was good. Room and facilities were very clean.
