Excellent Deal!

Pros: Friendly, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Good location, near the highway and train station. 'Nice room, great breakfast!
Cons: There were no drinking glasses in my room's bathroom. 'Even plastic cups would be appreciated.
Location: Moderate walk to my friends' home. 'Easy walk to the train station -- this is great for taking local trains into & out of New York City!
I had a very fine stay at the Stamford Hilton Hotel! I arrived after 11 PM, and the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was nice -- a very good deal through Expedia. I appreciated the quiet and slept well. The buffet breakfast had numerous choices and was very tasty. The parking was good and I appreciated the signs clearly indicating how to get to the lobby from the underground garage.

Convenient to needs and well suited to most needs

Pros: Upscale.
Cons: Refrigerator, microwave, free parking.
Location: We were working in Greenwich and had little time for play
Work related stay was pleasant and affordable through Expedia special rate offer. Room was a "double" and it would have been nice if there had been two Queens instead. Though the "doubles" were longer than a standard double so tall ones were not uncomfortable. There was some noise in our room from early morning weekday event in tent four floors below our room, and on weekend kids attending another event were noisy in the halls. Minor annoyance really, 'jus sayin'. There were some hardware issues with the room: one towel peg had been broken off the inside of the bathroom door, and after 3 days of light use both sliding doors on the closet had become dis-functional. Would have been nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room, but that would be below the Hilton style, I guess. Again, just minor in this case and not a surprise, but might be an issue for some. Business area is too noisy to do any serious work there. Direct TV is good and complete. They allowed a very late check-out so we could enjoy ESPN. Thanks for that!

Nice hotel. Scant staffing. Parking is a nightmare

The line for check in was slow moving! The parking lots were full. Completely full. We had to wait for a staff member to go home and offer to move his car for us to park. Yet the employee parking lot was empty. Overall not bad. But you might want to inquire about their parking capacity before you arrive and have them guarantee you a space to park while you are there.

Everything is good, the hotel staff it's very nice but the furniture and appliances are old. Rooms are ok nice, quiet and dark.

Not a real Hilton...

Reception was disappointing!!!! Got a room with no view and a bathroom with a cracked toilet... Asked the front desk to send someone to push one of our beds against the wall so my 7 year old could sleep by the wall without worrying all night that she will fall... No one came! Most room service staff do not speak English! They did not even clean the room the second night... Building is out of date and facilities are not in a good shape... Staff at the restaurant (for breakfast) definitely need a shake up!
