Winfield's - The atrium's lavish garden surrounds the restaurant, which serves Sunday brunch, afternoon tea, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The American menu ranges from light fare to full meals, with vegetarian and low-calorie choices.

“Nice Hotel in Greenwich - Could be better though”

**Caveat: This is BEFORE renovations ... Renovations are scheduled to start in January 2012 according to the signs in the hotel** Positives: 1. Right on US1 between two exits off I-95 2. Two Metro-North railway stations are nearby (Old Greenwich and Stamford) to take into NYC if you're so inclined. Rooms are nice. Clean. Not a lot of sound insulation between rooms though - I heard a dog and a couple people arguing in the next room. The elevator does seem to need some work - it has been inspected and deemed safe but it does shake a little on the way up and down. Those who are squeamish about elevators might take the stairs instead. Parking is a chore. The hotel set up a tent in the primary parking lot so everyone is pushed out to a secondary parking lot, which fills up quickly. Valet parking might be a better option. Some parts of the parking lot are not well lit but hotel has security people walking the parking lot looking out. I got a deal through Expedia Unpublished Rate which was about 1/2 off the published rate for this hotel. For the deal it's a nice place, besides the nickel-and-dime act. The Drawbacks: 1. Pay to park even all the way out in the back 40. It's added to your room bill. 2. Internet is a pay per use Internet. Like most hotels in this category, nothing is free and everything is pricey, unlike the mid-range hotels (Hamptons, Fairfields, Holiday Inn Express, etc) where there's more free amenities.

Terrific staff, talented management, wonderful hotel. A real jewel in the Hyatt crown. Hyatt keeps getting better and better.

“beautiful place; beds are too small”

Gorgeous atrium, very nice facilities. Only problem, and it's significant especially if you're a family of 4, were the 2 *double* beds. I was surprised they weren't queen size.

“A 4-Star hotel at a 2-star price (and a2-star room)”

No real complaints. We got a great deal on this room... though it is important to note that almost nothing was complimentary (parking, internet, amenities). Did request a plastic spoon from the front desk, which we never received... no big deal, but sometime the small things make the difference. The cost of everything in this beautiful hotel was too much for us, but we discovered a wonderful eating place that even served breakfast... the Sound Beach Pizza & Grill about a mile and a half down the street. The authentic home-made like breakfast was out of this world, and cost a third as much as we would have paid at the hotel.

“Very satisfied”

The location is really convenient, especially after spending all day walking in Manhattan. Easy access from 95. It was clean and very pretty. Even though there were a couple of events, we did not hear a thing. Staff was very courteous.

There is a small restaurant -- can't recall name -- on Rt. 1 that was excellent. If you take a left when you leave the Hyatt, drive for about 15 minutes on Rt. 1 and you will see it on the left of the road. It is a gray one-level building. Service was good and prompt; bathrooms very clean; and food very good.

“Not Impressed”

Room had dirty bathroom floor and stained rugs. Table and nightstands had glass rings all over and had not been thoroughly cleaned in long time. Hallway rug also in poor condition. One of the worst Hyatt rooms I've ever stayed in.

“Great Getaway”

The accommodations were very nice. The ambiance was cozy. The staff was very helpful My room had a view of the Atrium and we liked the feel of it.
