Potentially a lovely environment but TOO NOISYPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Nice location. Restaurant was pleasant.
Cons: Customer service. Noise management.
Location: Too tired to explore the surroundings.
Sadly this hotel was terribly disappointing. There was no wifi in the room at all. From 8pm to just after midnight the noise from the disco was so loud we might as well have been at the disco. The walls reverberated from the sound. We could not watch the TV or talk, much less sleep. I even did a recording of the noise to prove how incredibly loud it was. When I politely explained how disappointed we were the next day the manager only offered to take our drinks off the bill. For an expensive night away I was really upset and aggrieved that this token gesture was all that was offered. Very poor customer service and I would not return.

Nice Rooms comfy beds great food with a xcellent selection but portions are far to big, lots of guests including my party completely Overfaced, reduce the size of the meals and charge a bit less, other than that a great place to stay with all the sights within easy driving distance,I highly reccomend this Hotel/Pub and will certainly return

One wonderful day and nightPosted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: The comfort, staff and relaxed atmosphere
Cons: would like to see the bed fixed more securely to the floor, it needs some brakes ! Though having said that, we found it very funny.
Location: Location is beautiful, lots of open countryside and the Inn has a small farm and stables. I think children would really enjoy seeing the animals.
My Partner and I stayed in room 18 at this hotel/Inn and we couldn't fault it. The room was spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable. There is a door leading out to a patio with tables chairs and is excellent for people who like to smoke. We spent an hilarious hour in the rooms jaccuzi/ bath, up to our eyeballs in bubbles and watched the television that is built into the bathroom wall ! The food was first class and we really enjoyed our evening meal, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the staff were extremely well mannered and efficient. We both think that we had great value for money and will definitely visit again. If your considering a visit, go for it...it was great !

Breathtaking grounds and location!Posted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I use hotels frequently with work but this has to be the best place I have stayed in over 12 months. Impressive grounds, nice food and with the weather being nice the atmosphere was just fantastic. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!

Very enjoyable after initial arrival- Sunday afternoon absolutely heaving but turned 4 pm lovely and quiet for rest of week although a busy Inn. Roomy and delicious food of course.

Great HotelPosted Apr 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I had a great stay here and if you like something different from traditional hotels then this is the place. The rooms were great, food was excellent and staff were very helpful. Only downside I suppose is the 2.5% credit card charge which is unusual and the Cockerel announcing wake up time. My measure is always would I stay here again and the answer is yes.

Comfortable but noisy room -- good foodPosted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: The food quality
7 of us had a really good family meal out -- service was generally pleasant and food quality surprisingly good considering the size of the menu. 2 of us stayed the night and the room was comfortable but noisy (either air conditioning or generator) and whilst the hotel boasts good views, both rooms we saw (we changed from a twin to a double) had nothing but views of bricks and mortar.
