Days Inn Starke, FLPosted Dec 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
The front staff was very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff left a lot to be desired. The first day our room was not cleaned, no new towels, trash not removed, beds not made. Complained to front office and the second day we had a clean room. However, when staying at a hotel, room cleaning should not have to be requested. Overall, it looked like they were in the process of giving the facility a facelift. The room was spacious and comfortable. The continental breakfast is a nice touch. We would stay there again only because there aren't too many other choices in the area.

convenient but could be improvedPosted Oct 25, 2011
Location: Not applicable. Spent the days at an aerobatic contest 15 miles away.
The manager/receptionist has always been very friendly and helpful (2nd time staying here). Only complaint has been low water pressure for the shower, and the time for the water to warm up. Will probably stay here again next year.

Loved itPosted Sep 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
From the outside, it looks like a basic small hotel but inside it is clean and very cute. The rooms are small but very well maintained and clean. I would definitelt recommend staying here if you are passing through town.

Suited our purposePosted Mar 21, 2011
Book this hotel as needed to travel to Gainesville for Drag Racing, it was well situated only 25 miles away, journey into racing couldn't have been easier. We really liked Starke, good places to eat, Ganny's Kitchen is a must, fantastic food great service very friendly and cheap. The hotel was really a motel, clean but very small beds and bathroom was tiny, we stayed for 3 days and it suited our needs as we didn't spend time in room as out all day, literally just washed and slept there. Starke appeared to be a small area, hotel was opposite Court House and seemed to be positioned between a busy road and a train track, if you're tired was not a problem but the traffic would be heavy during rush hour and the trains would sound their horns during the early hours, breakfast was basic and coffee was available all day reception closed at 10 pm which could be a problem if you wanted to book in late, there was a window available for late bookers but got the feeling that it would not be ideal. Only marked it down slightly on surrounding neighbourhood as there were appeared to be a lot of re-possessions agencies around and room was on front along main road in and out, but didn't see any trouble of problems so overall was fairly happy there.

Best hotel in StarkePosted Feb 3, 2010
I will be staying here again. The hotel is idealy located and check-in & check-out was a breeze. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was great and there is a business center for all your needs which is a MUST for me. We had a great stay here!
