Good bang for the buck

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: price, location.
Cons: Breakfast area was pretty tight once the place filled up. Otherwise, hard to beat the price.
Location: Pretty much everything 'new retail': fast food up the ying yang, 3 big grocery stores, target, kolh's, you name it. Only about a mile from PSU.
Your average suite, but can't beat the price & location. Blocks from PSU, but dead in the middle of the retail area of State College. Not a pretty area but as convenient as it gets. The breakfast was much better than expected, small but very nice breakfast seating area, but crowded on weekends. The best part of this hotel was the staff. Both arriving late and needing 'map' help during the day found incredibly helpful and friendly desk staff. They all served as a top shelf concierge - they couldn't have been more helpfull, personable, and professional.

Nice Suite

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Staff was very nice
Cons: Temperature control could have been easier to maintain. It was either a bit warm or cold.
The suite we stayed in was excellent. It could have slept up to 6 and was in very good condition. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.

A price performer!

Posted Nov 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was a one night stop over for our family of five. Our kids (9) and (6) loved the pool while my husband, father in law and I enjoyed the hot tub. While the pool was not large and the hot tub was in need of some updates, such as an easy fix of replacing the rusted faucet base, it was well kept and clean. Friendly, helpful staff and ample breakfast with strong coffee and yummy Belgium waffles make this a price performer at under $100 per room. We did get two adjoining rooms and it was great to have a handicap room for my father in law for purposes of the walk in shower. Rooms are comfortable and a decent size but wall paper in the bathroom and well trafficked carpeting did leave me feeling like a makeover should be on the Comfort Suites annual planning agenda. Overall, we would stay again as it hit all our must haves..pool, breakfast, adjoining rooms all at a very reasonable price.

I stayed there while my daughter did an overnight at Penn State. If she attends Penn State next year, the Comfort Suites will be my hotel of choice when visting her.

Best hotel on our trip

Posted Oct 18, 2014
We traveled with 2 adults and 3 kids and after 2 nights in small rooms I picked this hotel carefully. It was so nice to have room for everyone to sleep, with 2 queen beds and a couch. Very spacious! Would definitely stay here again when traveling with 5 people.
