Hoping for BetterPosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Very pleasant staff and lovely lobby. Good location.
Cons: More generous with the number of towels provided. Very few A/C outlets available to charge phones, laptops, etc in room
Location: PSU facilities and downtown area a short drive away. A little too far to walk along a dark, five lane highway.
Nice facility, however, I was unlucky with the room assignment (109). I was next door to the laundry area and a hallway that is used to access the pool. There were dozens of middle school-aged boys staying there for a lacrosse tournament. There was a lot of traffic just outside my room, along with a constant sound of some machinery or motor running non-stop. Again, a nice facility, but I was staying in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Updated exterior looks good, interior not so muchPosted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: The rooms are quiet, the high ceilings are nice, and the down pillows comfortable.
Cons: Old carpets felt almost "sticky" to walk on, bathroom had rust on some metal parts of the door and frame. Bathroom fans are noisy and ineffective.
Location: Penn State, obviously, and the creamery!
The hotel staff were excellent -- friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Kudos there. The exterior looks great and must have been recently remodeled. The interior has not (yet?) received the same treatment, and is dated and in need of updates. The free wifi is awful, as it is at other Hilton properties. They really try to push you to the pay version, which is outrageously priced. Better and cheaper to just use cellular.

Nice hotel close to the AirportPosted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: The bed and spa tub.
Cons: Cable TV. Not only were the choices of channels lousy, my remote went out. And when I say lousy I mean REALLY lousy.
Location: My purpose for the trip was a family reunion and I was spending time visiting relatives.
It was pleasant but lacking room service (food) made it tough for little exhausted me. However, I did find a solution. I bribed a housekeeper to bring my meals up to me after they were prepared in the restaurant's kitchen. So everyone was happy.

Great hotel, very convenient to Penn StatePosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Queen size beds in double rooms, big and comfortable! Location is great.
Cons: AC system is not great, but worked ok. Was a hot day and room didn't quite get as cool as we would have wished.
Location: Its all about Penn State!
Our son is enrolling at PSU so we have made the trip to State College several times in the past 6 months. This is our first time in this hotel, but will not be our last! Great location, friendly staff, excellent room.

One night in State CollegePosted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Met our needs for an overnight stay.
Location: We liked the location. It was close to good places to dine.
Room was very cozy. No smell to it at all. You know how some rooms have a distinct odor. Nice size bathroom. Plenty of storage room. We did not go while Penn State was in session, but the overall area was nice and quiet.

Lovely stay in State CollegePosted May 9, 2015
Pros: The hotel is close to the campus of Penn State, just of the highway (Rt. 322) and close to many different restaurants.
Cons: I see no need for improvement.
Location: Just of Rt. 322. Close to the Penn State Campus. Many restaurants nearby.
My husband and I were in State College to bring our daughter home from college. This hotel is just outside the campus. There is a restaurant located on the hotel premises which has a lovely breakfast. The room was very clean, and the staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to be near the Penn State campus.
