Best hotel in state collegePosted Mar 2, 2014
Cons: The coffee machine in the lobby used to make hot chocolate and cappuccino. I miss that feature but the coffee is still good.
We always stay at the Hilton Garden Inn when we travel to State College. It is perfectly clean with a pool for the kids and hot tub for mom. The location is perfect for events at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Finally, no stress!Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: It's location, friendliness, and cleanliness.
Cons: An outdoor pool so we could have a summer get-a-way!!
Location: Close to Beaver Stadium and campus. Just a short drive and you're downtown. Always have to visit the creamery!!
After a very long week of bad weather, lots of shoveling, sitting through 3 days of intense Team States HS wrestling, we headed to University Park to watch our son wrestle in the PSUAC Conference Championships. We decided to go the day prior to his wrestling so we could "catch our breath" from a very hectic week. We did just that. We had an early dinner and arrived at the hotel and had the most relaxing evening. Finally, no stress!!!! Thank you for a much needed "quiet" evening. We would have liked to have spent a few more days, but we'll be back soon for softball season!!! We always stay here when we visit University Park.

Loved itPosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here on our way to visit family for Thanksgiving. The room was just what we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we got a good rest on it. The room was clean and quiet. The morning breakfast buffet had something for everyone. My only gripe was that we got there at 10 p.m. and the bar was closed for the night, so we could get no refreshments or a nightcap.

After a long day of driving on our way from Connecticut to Southwestern Ohio, the Hilton Garden Inn in State College is an oasis!

close to campus and easy access to highwayPosted Oct 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location was great for going to PSU in just a few minutes. Exploring the area and getting back to the hotel was easy too. They don't include a continental breakfast, but have a nice restaurant where we had dinner. The food and service were good and the prices reasonable. Dining and lodging in Happy Valley seems a bit expensive overall. We enjoyed our three days there.
