Pros: Convenience to highway, quiet, nearby to restaurants. Price was right.
Cons: tighten the toilet bowl(s?)
Location: see above
Room was fine... clean, nice TV. Weather was cold (15-29degrees) room wasn't that warm overnight but bearable. Toilet bowl rocked..... not that kind of "rocked".. it was loose.

Hotel was clean but underwhelming. Big iron burn on carpet, a bit of an odor in the room, curtains didn't close all the way. Best we could do for short notice but would not go back unless I had to.

Please be assured that all of our guest rooms do not have the issues you encountered and that if we would have known we could have moved you to a different room of your liking. Please do not let this one bad experience keep you from giving us a second chance to show you the quality of service that we provide. Thank you again for your comments1 Have a Great Fall!

Pros: It was on the way to Penn State, so location was good, right off of Rt. 322.
Cons: Dampness and towels.
Location: about 1/2 hour from Penn State so kind of convenient to there.
Hard to find the driveway into the hotel, turns out it is shared with the Valero gas station, confusing. Old 70s d├ęcor. Ground floor room was kind of damp feeling even with the AC running continuously. Towels seemed damp to the touch, and were thin and old. Queen bed seemed to have a crown shape so that it felt like you were going to roll out of it. Sink and Vanity were out of bathroom so that light there is seen throughout the whole room waking up husband and daughter. Showerhead very low and had temperature variation when my husband took morning shower. TV didn't have many channels.

dumpy but clean and convenient

Posted Aug 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
it worked for us. It was convenient to the highway and close to Penn State. Hotel was old and a little dumpy (i.e. bathroom door did not close) but it was clean and worked fine for a night.

I wasn't expecting to pay so much for an okay hotel in an area where there's not much to do.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. We are glad you chose to stay with us during your stay in the Lewistown Area. At first glance you might think our area doesn't have much to do but our local chamber of commerce actually compiled a notebook for our hotel called "A Guide to the usual and the unusual services and attractions of Mifflin and Juniata Counties". It is loaded with lots of fun things to do for example Wednesday in BIg Valley visit the Belleville Livestock Auction, Flea Market and Antique shops. a lot of guests to our area enjoy visiting Local Wineries, Covered Bridges or take the walking tour of downtown Lewistown to see the Many Murals and the Restoration work at the Embassy Theatre. Please be sure to stop at the desk and ask what to do when next in our area. Thanks for Staying with us!

Worst Hotel I ever stayed at

Posted Jul 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Non smoking room reeked of smoke. Toilet flushed every time the room next door flushed. Room was not cleaned before we arrived. Asked to be moved and was told no. Manager very rude about our stay and to kick it all off they charged $150/night. I would not even give this hotel 1 star.

After we had to move rooms because we were put in a non dog room with our dogs, the stay was good. The comfortable beds were our favorite part.
