Bed was very soft, we rolled in the bed to the heaviest person. Not very comfortable for sleeping.

Overpriced, Weak Service Below Standard for Price and Brand
Posted Jan 6, 2009
We were surprised by the $75 pet fee - even though we had called in advance. Our room was not as clean -- especially the bathroom -- as it should have been. The hotel staff was overwhelmed by the crowd -- especially during the Sunday morning buffet. While it is a non-smoking hotel, they do nothing to regulate guest smoking behaviors outside and you cannot come or go without walking through clouds of smoking guests hovering by the doorways.

State College Marriott -- not bad/not good
Posted Jan 18, 2009
Postives...Service at hotel was very good from check-in thru check-out. Hotel's location to stores, restaurants, Penn State arena -- excellent. Hotel makes coffee and tea available 24 hours in the lobby (much appreciated). Negatives... very small rooms & as animals are allowed, heavy handed w/the cleaning products. Hotel states continental breakfast is served, unfortunately you need to get there early to have breakfast (don't replenish) and get a seat (maybe 10 tables in "lobby/tv area".)Suggest ditching "hot" food for more bagels, muffins, fruit, ceral, etc. Cites gym -- room is size of closet and has one bike and two trend mills. Lone weight set is some unknown contraption.

Comfortable accomodations for a week long stay
Posted Jan 6, 2008
Comfortable for a longer stay because the suites are bigger than a normal hotel room. The free internet service is a great convenience. The kitchenette is a useful feature because it gets tiring to go out for every meal during a week long business trip. A nice, full breakfast is served every day. The service is fantastic! There is a gym inside the hotel that has a couple useable cardio machines. You can also receive a discounted pass at East Coast Athletic Club which is a few minutes drive down the road and has both classes and wider range of cardio machines as well as weight machines.

It's okay.

First impression of the room is good. But there are some maintenance issues like a drippy bathroom faucet and a mattress that allowed half of us to roll to the center causing the other half of us to be crowded onto the edge. The walls are extremely thin so when the guy next door was talking on the phone we could hear him like he was sitting in our room. But the room was clean and the decor nice.
