Hotel handy to Penn State campus
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Pros: It was very handy to the Penn State campus. The staff did everything they could to make our experience a good one. And the price was relatively low.
Cons: The bathroom & shower could be a little larger, but not really a problem.
Location: We were there for a Penn State reunion - worked great for us as we could easily get to campus and back.
This is a basic hotel, but it was very clean, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast was good. There were 3 of us in the room, so with a rollaway bed it was something of a challenge to get around, as the room was small. But for two people, it would be fine. The room had TV, wi-fi, etc. I would definitely stay there again, buy maybe not on a football weekend. The reasonable price would probably attract students, and I'm a senior citizen who prefers a quiet place. (It was quiet when we were there.)

Sophisticated Traveler--Come to State College
Posted Jan 9, 2013
There is little reason to come to Central Pennsylvania unless you have some business on the campus of Penn State. Sleep Inn is as good budget haunt as any to spend overnight when you prepare to do official business. People in S.C. are habitually friendly, there are plenty of good inexpensive restaurants as in most college towns and, except for the late summer and the early autumn, the climate is too damp to do anything outdoors.

Bang for your buck

Pros: Water pressure, free breakfast, clean, convenient
Cons: Pillows too small
Location: A little hidden; just pay attention for the Village road sign
Super convenient for penn state. Nice breakfast. Window that opened, which is always nice. Terrific bargain at about $80.

Nice hotel for price

Nice clean hotel, well worth the price. Only complaint was that the bathroom was quite small (only a shower and toilet, sink was outside).

Comfortable and convenient to Penn State
Posted Jan 25, 2013
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Location: Easy drive to Penn State campus
We stayed overnight while visiting our son at Penn State. The hotel is a short, easy drive to the campus. Our room was both comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Use as last resort

I appreciated the non-smoking room. The hotel overdoes it with the use of air fresheners. Convenient location to Penn State. Walls are paper thin. I actually heard the person in the next room cell phone ring. Also heard their TV loud and clear late at night. Paid $139/night which I thought was steep for this place.
