Looks are Deceiving.Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Had dinner in hotel. Food was very good and service in restaurant was great.
Location: Not much near by.
This is our third stay at this hotel and due to limited number of hotels in State College we have come back here. We are always optimistic it will be better. Hotel from the exterior and common areas looks great. It is when you get to the room when you find cheep construction, married with poorly maintained rooms. I can overlook that if it wasn't for the poorly cleaned rooms. There is nothing worse than a dirty hotel room and the Penn Stater seems to have not mastered cleaning the room. On our last trip we had to move rooms due to a very dirty bathroom. This trip was no different with housekeeping having to make a trip up to the bathroom to clean it. Furniture, including the headboard, was smeared with either cleaner or something. Location is not the most convenient as this particular hotel is set in a office park, away from campus, and amenities such as restaurants or convenience stores. For the price you can do better with the big chain hotels, or the sister hotel which is much better based on our stays there.

Professional people.Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The elegant uniformed dressed staff, professional in what they do.
Cons: The carpet in the rooms even though it is brown, needs to be kept more clean, new.
Location: Close to every thing in car, far from the noise.
Every body is well trained and committed. Nice hotel design. Brunch on Sunday best ever.

Penn stater hotelPosted Aug 9, 2014
The hotel is very confidently located. I would say my experience with the staff during my stay was 50/50. Some were very ftiendly and helpful. Others not so much. This place is in need if updating. Carpets in the room were filthy and worn. Hairs in and around tub. Shower had a shower curtain instead of a door, which I find gross and lastly bedding wreaked of a previous guest's perfume.

Good location. Needs to be more modern.Posted Jul 31, 2014
Clean but needs an update. Poor internet access. During a heavy rain part of the hotel was leaking water. Staff was good and responsive.
