Good value for the money.Posted Jun 25, 2015
I appreciated an inexpensive place to stay for a quick stop over, but would gladly pay a bit more for new carpeting in the guest rooms and better linens. That said, the restaurants were good and the front desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Lovely hotel near PSU campusPosted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the complimentary wifi was very easy to access.
Cons: The one thing that I would have liked to have known in advance is that the toilet sits very low which proved difficult for me.
Location: We were there for PSU freshman orientation and our activities were limited to the campus. www.psu.edu for more information
We stayed one night at this hotel and everything was very nice and there were no problems at all. We did not have the opportunity to visit the hotel restaurants, the fitness center or the pool but they were well appointed. The whirlpool was not filled at the time that we checked it out but I do not know how temporary that was since we were only looking and did not stay long. There are complimentary USA Today newspapers in the lobby; they are not delivered to the rooms. Checking out using the television is not an option like many other hotels, but they did have a key drop box in the lobby.

Beautiful grounds and lobby but room needed updatePosted May 9, 2015
Pros: Setting, main areas and lap pool.
Cons: Update rooms with new furniture.
Location: Can't really comment as I did not get off the hotel grounds.
Lovely area and ambience, but it was a little off the beaten path. It probably would have been easy to venture out, but after driving all day, I was not up for it. The room: bed was very comfortable however there was a love seat that I honestly did not want to sit on. I did love that there is a lap pool there...that alone would bring me back despite some of the drawbacks.

Good TimePosted May 4, 2015
Pros: Everything, except room temp.
Cons: Temperature adjustment in the room.
Location: We went to see Garth Brooks at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Everything was great except the room was to hot and we everything we did to the thermostat didn't seem to help.

Perfect for Bryce Jordan Center EventPosted May 1, 2015
Location: We had no trouble finding many restaurants close by.
We stayed for a concert at the Bryce Jordan Center and the hotel had a bus take us to and from the concert which was wonderful since we were not familiar with the area. The driver got us there and back with no long traffic waits. The hotel was very nice and clean, staff was very pleasant. Would stay again and again!

OkPosted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Bed was comfortable and the pulled pork sandwich in the "pub" was great.
Cons: Atmosphere - at least during special weekends.
Location: No clue, we arrived late in the afternoon and left the next morning after breakfast. I can say that the immediate area was almost devoid of life.
I stayed with my mom on the night of April 24th for the Garth Brooks concert at the Bryce Jordan Center. The hotel itself was clean and modern and staff were generally pleasant. However, the atmosphere just brought me down. You would not have known that a major recording artist was in town for a concert that night. We saw Garth in Buffalo at the beginning of March and the hotel did a fabulous job of making concert goers feel special with a decorated lobby, Garth music, door prizes, specials and much more. This hotel was just plain boring. Also, it is located on the Penn State campus (I think) but don't expect to get a collegiate "feel," there was almost literally no human beings outside. It was weird, like the twilight zone.

Clean nice hotelPosted Apr 27, 2015
Cons: Staff could be more helpful.
The hotel was very clean good area close to Penn State. The only negative I was there for concert and they provided shuttle service that was great Going to the concert everything worked out. It seemed at the end of the night picking up guests did not go so well they should have been better prepared. It was very cold out and we stood in the cold for a long time until a very nice gentleman that worked the concert called a bus to come pick us up. The bus driver was off duty but out of kindness brought us back to hotel. Because of this I probably would not stay there again.

Lounge CapacityPosted Apr 27, 2015
I was kinda shock the Lounge area only holds about 60 people, when the hotel capacity is probably at least 300-400 people. The food was good both at the Lounge and the Garden restaurant. I would definitely stay there again.
