"Good hotel on Staten Island"
The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable with good air conditioning so we got a good nights sleep after a long flight. The breakfast had lots of choice and even different hot choices on the two mornings we spent here. However there isn't much nearby and you need a car really to be able to get something to eat. We knew this and so were prepared to go out. For four of us it made a reasonably cheap couple of nights.

"Nice hotel, pretty recent"
Room was very nice, pretty recent. Refrigirator in room, AC works well, beds are fine. But ice maker is only on ground floor and shuttle service to ferry is sketchy at best... Only a few departure times per day and even if you book your place, you may get stranded at the ferry at 10:00 PM with children...

Pocket Guide: New York Staten Island IHG Hotels

This small island feels more suburban than the rest of New York City’s boroughs. Getting to Staten Island is easy – just take the free ferry from Lower Manhattan for this 25-minute crossing. Top sights include the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, Historic Richmond Town (a Colonial Williamsburg-like living history museum), Snug Harbor Cultural Center, and the Staten Island Zoo.
