Needs an upgrade

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Hotel staff was nice and courteous. Regular king bathroom very small and awkward. Pillows on bed were small and squishy no support. Lights did not work in bathroom and only had 1 towel for 2 adults. Not happy at all with room. Staff on duty was kind enough to move us to another room king room but with the jacuzzi tub. Much larger bathroom and I was able to enjoy my 2 night stay.

Time has taken its toll.

This hotel used to be really nice when it was a Holiday Inn. It is in need of some serious upgrades and repairs and just doesn't meet the standard with other newer better kept hotels. The carpet in the whole hotel was just dirty and stained. Repairs look like they are handled as cheaply as possible.

Pros: Location
Cons: Carpet and tile need cleaning attention. Many stains and tracked in dirt from the outside.
I was disappointed at the condition and cleanliness of this hotel for the amount paid for the two night stay.

Pros: Staff Was friendly and courteous
Cons: Upgrade your outdated furniture utensils counters just about everything screams run down and old
Older hotel and everything is worn and feels dingy. A little renovation would go a long way.

Appears to be a little run down.

Pros: The free breakfast was tasty and satisfying. When I asked for help with the waffle machine, basically I was told to do what I was doing. No help. I
Cons: A remake of the hotel and get rid of the riff raff hanging out at the front entrance. Maybe make it a no smoking area.
Location: We were there for a tour at GSU.
I've stayed here twice now. I'm always willing to give a restaurant or hotel a 2nd chance. Both times we've arrived, riff raff are hanging out around the front entrance, squatting, smoking and looking a little unsavory. My 17 year old daughter refused to go outside alone to get an item out of our car. This time, I really noticed the walls of the rooms and hallways. They are definitely in need of a paint job. Our room had apparently suffered a water leak at some point. Someone had used kilz to spray the ceiling and sprayed it all over the wallpaper border as well. Our first time, there was a couple in the next room carrying on a loud argument. They proceeded to take the argument outside, right under our window. I also noticed this time that the furniture, especially the upholstered furniture was looking dirty. Door to restroom cleared the toilet by millimeters. Very tiny. I guess the price was the best thing about our stay. I did think the bed was really comfortable.

The room was bad because of the wet carpet from water coming out of the bathroom. It smelled terrible! I would never stay there again.

I was put in a handicapped room after checking in. They said expedia just put me in any room. After I switched to another room the whole floor smelled of cigarette smoke. Im pregnant so it was worse. The hotel keys barely worked. The room floor was damp. The towels had stains on them. The shower was awful and super small. I thought about just checking out but I had already invested money and most of the better places were booked. Online i thought it was really nice and well priced but I know better now.
